Is it just me, or is a guy sitting down to watch NFL football on Sundays a trigger for women to get fucking annoying?

When I should be enjoying football, I sometimes feel as though I am under a mortar attack. I live in California, so all the games start at 10am. I usually walk out to the couch, turn on the HD, and get ready for action.

But it never ceases to amaze me all the nagging I get!

-When are you going to rearrange your surfboards?

-Are you going to bathe your smelly dog?

-We need to go to the Farmers Market today. I know it is 2 hours away, but we will save 3 cents on a head of lettuce if we go now.

-Is this the only thing on TV today?

-Hey, Desperate Housewives is on soon, what time does this game end?

-I think we have ants in the bathroom.

-You don?t love me anymore.

-Do you think those cheerleaders are hot, I think they look like sluts.

-I wonder if Angie Harmon is at the game.

It fucking amazes me, apparently in my world, ants only get found in the bathroom on Sundays. They don?t come out on Tuesday afternoon?oh no, just Sundays. And certainly, the dog smelled like fucking expensive cologne on Wednesday, but on Sunday, he smells like a ball of shit.


?No, Football isn?t the only thing on, it is the only thing we are watching today. I think the lettuce from Ralphs is just as good as the lettuce from Bangladesh. No, I don?t think the cheerleaders are hot, that is just something that gets EVERY OTHER GUY OFF NOT ME ??.. EVER SINCE I MET YOU I HAVE BEEN SO OBSESSED WITH YOU THAT I CAN'T THINK OF GIRLS IN COWGIRL SKIRTS KICKING THEIR LEGS AND BOUNCING AROUND! Is Angie Harmon a first string cheerleader? Then NO I DO NOT KNOW WHO SHE IS.?

AND THEN THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!!!!

-What is ?holding?? Why does that player only have one thingy on his facemask? What is a? red zone? Do think the blue team will win or the red team cause I THINK THE BLUE TEAM WILL WIN!!!?

Yep, this is when they start sitting down trying to make football a couples event! Pure torture!

Funny more, the night before, no matter what we are doing, I try to express what MY plans are and what HER plans should be.

?You know what, there are some big games on TV tomorrow, I am going to watch them. I am so excited. If I were dying from brain cancer, next to going to the mall with you and holding hands, watching tomorrow?s lineup would be my last wish.?

And her response, every time:

?Totally, I am going to go have my hair done and then stop by the grocery and see if apples are on sale.?

By 1:00pm, at the same time I am asking what Chris Collinsworth is fucking talking about, I am also trying to figure out why she is STILL HERE! She has the little TV in our bedroom with a remote at her disposal; yet, she still parades through the room trying to ruin Sunday.

Did the Saints or Chiefs win? I guess I will ask the guy in the Raiders jersey hovering over the apple stand at Ralphs.

Gotta train em young... It's all about mastering the hand, be careful though, if you fail to master it, you might end up having to use it

thats why i am single. the girls i date don't want anything serious enough to authorize them to say shit about what i watch.

I hate to say that I was close to that bad. My boyfriend trained me on understanding football via the Madden games, so now I can watch it without too many stupid questions. ;)

lol my wife is getting used to it now. I even watch college football all day on Saturday too.

LOL, that's awesome. Don't they always seem to nag when we're watching anything sports related. Superbowl, Stanley cup finals, they're the worst!

Doesn't she have friends she can have a girls day out shopping with? See most guys hate shopping, so the chick goes out with her shopping friends. You seem to be the type that likes shopping, you are her chicky shopping friend. :-)

This is where having different interests and hobbies comes in handy! Oh, can somebody please explain to me why women enjoy spending time with another so much? Not even doing anything, just sitting there being together. I don't get it. Is it a clingy thing? Maybe I just don't like people.

LOL..naw..all kidding aside....i think women are just like that...if they feel you like something alot they feel threatned by it....that's how it was with me and my girl with the computer before....

i just think your girl is trying to get your attention, and also to see if she is still the most important thing in your life....

sometimes this sort of attitude from a female when your doing something you like comes from the relationship situation as a whole....if she feels your getting tired of her and don't treat her right in the relationship, females will do that sort of stuff...

At least yours wasn't cleaning the house, running the vacum cleaner all day.

you gotta condition them untill their brains learn to relay to them "when football game is on the screen, man will not listen to me." To reinforce this, try making a really loud and sudden noise immediately when she tries to speak to you during a game. If that doesn't work, try a slight electrical shock

she just wants attention. personally i find watching sports boring but thats just me.

The only thing I love more than watching football on Sundays is watching football on Monday night. I'm into college games too. We're not all football phobic. Even thought I love your girl, NEVER tell her to call me on Sunday or I'll have to hurt ya! :1orglaugh

I leave my man alone on sunday and monday night. Sometimes saturday too since he is a Cornhuskers fan. We have three televisions so he can watch all the football he wants. I just go into another room and watch somethimg. I let him watch football and he lets me buy what I want. Hehe.

That's why I have 2 televisions..I lock the door to the room and turn it up..can't hear the nagging

i feel ya. from 9am-8pm pacific time
its MY time, but the woman will get in my way. Other people goto church on sundays, i work on porn and watch football all sunday and i love it

if only other people can see it the same way as i do

My wife just goes about her own biz while I have the TV on in my office. I work Sundays, but I like to listen while keeping track of my fantasy Football stats. :)

our family and friends know not to disturb our sundays when the game is on....

it actually happens nightly..being a bettor, theres some type of sporting event on at any given time. I learn to just not listen to her. If not, send her to the spa for the day on sundays, that works as well.
