Damn, you guys need better hosting like I get from Mojohost! :winkwink: They answer questions like this for me ... with solutions, which is even better than answers.

Awstats has as default that data (referring url's, most visited documents) are shown on a monthly basis. Can that be changed to a day to day basis?

Yes, it can!

I'm using AWStats myself, I wish I could see the daily stats with referrals and all.
If you find out a way let me know!!

This was bugging me just last week, so I filed a support ticket asking my server guys to get me some better stats. They (meaning their man Greg Martin, he's great) tweaked awstats so that if I access it with a url specifying a single day of the month, I get stats displayed for that day only. Love it!
(Apparently awstats is *not* set up with a spiffy interface for daily stats, but you can set it up just to look at one day's log file at a time when you ask for that.)
And then like Jace, I thought, I need better search stats! WTF is up with this listing of traffic by search engine, with no referrals?

how do you all deal with awstats only showing so much of the SE results and not showing which SE sent which result? that bugs the SHIT out of me

Told Greg much the same thing, only I put it nicer, and he was able to tweak awstats again so that it has four custom reports that break out the search referrals for google, yahoo, microsoft, and google images. I've been geeking out ever since! Knowing *exactly* where my Google image search traffic is coming from, where it's landing, and what keyword brought it, is all valuable as hell.
Seriously, this was stuff that had been bugging me for a freakin' year. I suspect it's "above and beyond the call of duty" even for managed hosting, but Mojohost spoils me, what can I say?
