The highest bill they still print is the $100. My great grandma had a bunch of $1,000 bills. They were pretty cool. Not sure who she gave them to, she passed a few months back.

ya huh ...no kidding....i have never seen a $100,000 bill....does it even exist anymore? i dont think so...the gov. must have taken them all and never circulated them anymore...

Are those even real? I remember in the Guiness Book of World Records, the largest single bill denomination was $10K, IIRC.

the 10k bill is my preferred choice of asswiping material...the 100s just aren't good enough...

they were used in a time when they didnt have the automation we have now. Those size bills were for business dealings not pocket change.

THe 10,000 one you can still get, I just called my brothers fiance who runs the vault at the bank she works at and she said if you ask for it they can order one for you.

They stopped the big bills when reagan's war on drugs started.


100K bills where never in circulation. They where used only within the bank system.

They are actually called bank notes. Anything after $100 becomes a note and not a bill. Originally the 10K, 100K, 1M, etc notes were used as a method for financial institutions to move money around and a few made it into circulation here and there. They are very cool finds if you can get them as they not only look nice on the wall but they hold more value then the denomination stated on the note.
