My fucking streetbike AND dirtbike got stolen again!! FUCK!

In 2004 my 2004 honda cbr1000 got stolen from my driveway. that was my fault for leaving it outside that day. Today I come home and my shed door is wide open and both my 2006 honda cbr 1000 and 98 honda CR 125 dirtbike are gone. This was definitely someone I know. Both bikes were locked up. It goes to show they will get the bikes no matter what the fuck you do! As I said this must of been someone I know who was affiliated with them. I am just so furious. It's not like I can go murder someone over this. I feel guilty with some of thoughts I have such as "oh now that its gone I wont have to pay insurance for the winter" thats my guilty pleasure. But it makes it harder on Massachusetts insurance companies and I dont want any of this bullshit. It's just such a shitty day today. FUCK!

That fucking sucks man..fucking punk ass weasels

Rochard 10-28-2006 08:35 PM

It's very easy to steal a bike. Generally speaking anyone with a pick up can quickly through it up in the bed and zoom off. The only way to secure it is a garage.

The Shame 10-28-2006 08:35 PM

sorry to hear

ry0t 10-28-2006 08:36 PM

Yes I dont feel safe in my house anymore now either! I want an alarm system for the house but what happens if a robber comes, steals the most important things of mine and then the police show up 10 minutes later and all my stuff is already gone. I dont have experience with alarm systems but I figure that might happen and they might not really work too good.

As you know with a bike it can be locked by turning it to the side for the wheel lock. It was in my shed with the wheel lock on and the front wheel chained. The dirtbike was also in the shed and had a chain. It goes to show if the robbers want your things they will take it no matter what protection you have. Im not up with advanced security so I could be wrong. I'll have to try harder in the future.

Pick up some cheap ass infrared webcams and throw together a little linux box running motion or zoneminder. Using powered USB hubs and 5 meter USB extensions in series you can get runs of 100 feet or more if needed. Setup an periodical rsync to a server on the net.

Thats a good point so at least you can try and see their faces before they steal the cams too. Because its recorded.

WarChild 10-28-2006 08:51 PM

Man I feel your pain. I had a CBR1000RR too, and it's a fucking fantastic bike. Luckily mine was never stolen though.

MikeVega 10-28-2006 08:58 PM

that sucks ... i have to get my bike in the garage

DjSap 10-28-2006 08:59 PM

that sucks bigtime...its sad that bikes get stolen so often, makes the insurance premium a bitch...

tical 10-28-2006 09:09 PM

get a brand new bike and parade it all over the place and tell everyone how much new shit you got on it with the insurance money from getting the other 2 stolen

then rig up a fucked up rambo style boobie trap to fuck em up :D

hey... we can dream right?

baddog 10-28-2006 09:14 PM

I have had 2 stolen. A 1942 45" flathead and a 1949 custom-stock panhead. It hurts.

Knowing it is an associate can't make it easier.

Damn sorry to hear that. Because those are from good years so that definitely hurts probably worse than my issue here. Yes knowing it was someone I know does hurt a lot.

I remember hearing about a guy's bike that was in the back yard, chained, behind a locked gate. The guys car was pulled up in the driveway to the point that it was blocking the gate, because he was going out of town.

When he came back the bike was gone, and had obviously been dragged across the hood of his car. Fucked it up.

Thats so fucked.

SmokeyTheBear 10-28-2006 09:27 PM

gotta have cameras these days . get an old box ( or a few of them ) and setup a few monitoring stations so you can watch remotely..

ry0t 10-28-2006 09:29 PM

Yeah the monitoring idea I will do that definitely. For both my house and my shed.

LiveDose 10-28-2006 10:54 PM

I had one stolen from in front of my house. If you think it's someone you know setup a camera and bait them. Don't forget to hide the body well.

GTS Mark 10-28-2006 10:54 PM

ahhh that sucks dude, sorry to hear it :(

DH

BV 10-28-2006 11:15 PM

sorry to hear your bikes got ripped, i'd be out looking to kill

WWC 10-28-2006 11:21 PM

thats sucks.....sorry to hear that....hope they were insured...

ry0t 10-29-2006 12:43 AM

I want to say thanks for saying that. I've had the motocross bike since I was 15 and paid every cent off myself it had a lot of personal value. Yes they were insured. It's more that I feel violated and not safe in my own house.

Yeah man it feels like yesterday didnt you just say nice bike when I posted the picture? Sucks! I think Dag did too. Shitty. It's very sad that it's someone I knew or from someone they knew. I believe that it was.

bl4h 10-29-2006 01:16 AM

I had an old jeep with two 15 inch woofers in it. Some idiots came and stole the speakers and amp the other day. The thing was worth maybe 100 bucks. The worst part is not really the stolen goods but you feel invaded and made a fool of. I still feel like shit about it. fuckers

That doesn't sound like a very good neighborhood.

SPACE GLIDER 10-29-2006 01:26 AM

You'd be surprised at how handy having even a little dog can be.

Enema 10-29-2006 08:23 AM

I don't know anything about Boston so forgive me but....

.. you can't ride in Winter?

DutchTeenCash 10-29-2006 08:37 AM

damn that sucks

here you gotta chain them to the ground for insurance purposes, 2 chains for anything over $10k or if its a HD its gotta be inside or its not even insured.

Sucks. I take my regular bike inside even.

I know a guy that got his atv stolen like that. It was in his backyard chained to a tree. They cut the chain and rolled it out in the middel of the night. He even had 2 labs in the yard at the time, lazy fuckers never woke up. :1orglaugh

OG LennyT 10-29-2006 08:46 AM

HorseShit 10-29-2006 09:21 AM

dennisthemenace 10-29-2006 09:32 AM

I didn't notice in the thread - what kind of security measure did you have on the door to the shed?

BitAudioVideo 10-29-2006 10:29 AM

you have to have multiple lines of defense.
fence
cameras
motion lights
alarm
dogs
mote filled with alligators
