like i said, they're are other methods, but none are ideal. we been using a script to rename files (on a limited basis) on a couple of sites. does the trick as well. still pretty lame though. damn windows media player ;)
we found it is much easier to simply go after the top 500 hotlinkers ranked by bw usage. Like SR said, it is *very* easy to shut these sites down. It's also very satisfying :)
We've shut down over 1000. Those that stay below the bw 'radar' aren't worth the time, and are ignored.
