Are .MOBI domains really worth much?

one of the threads posted said that a couple of .MOBI domains pulled in big bucks... is there high demands for these extensions?

I don't get it "flowers.mobi" Would this be flowers for your mobile phone or for a florist that's mobile? Doesn't make sense to me.

Lets say you forgot your girlfriend/wife birthday, and you are sitting iin the middle of fucking nowhere... you take your mobile phone, open the browser, type "flowers" (without .mobi, since furture browser will default to .mobi domians, if you do not type an extension) and order some flowers for her.

Add build-in GPS, faster speeds etc. and some interesting things will be possible...
