I recommend you contact caz from OC3 networks: 304883574.

Gillespie 10-28-2006 09:18 AM

I think they go for a lot more than what I'm paying right now.

notabook 10-28-2006 09:21 AM

For a VPS like that you are looking at around $60... you'd probably be better off getting an entry level dedicated solution at $50 for a cheapo celeron, it would probably outperform the mid-range VPS solutions.

Do you know who would offer cheap celeron hosting in the 50 dollar range?

Dediwebhost.com had some a while back, not sure if they still have them. I would browse around at webhostingtalk.com and get reviews of any company before you make your decision though. I use jaguarpc.com for most my VPS needs, they are a very great company when it comes to their servers but do NOT expect fast response time from their staff if an issue arises. They have the absolute *worst* support staff I have ever seen... they will often respond to your question with nonsensical bullshit.

EDIT: Go here for the dediwebhost deal:
https://ssl.dediwebhost.com/limited001.htm

They have some for $55 and $59.

I disagree. I also have a VPS with them and I've never seen support as good as theirs and response times within minutes of submitting a ticket. That Masood guy practically lives in the data center lol I also saw them on WHT a year ago and grabbed a VPS. Been happy ever since.

I'll check out Dediwebhost. Thanks!

Spudstr 10-28-2006 09:33 AM

www.yfvps.com though we only offer the 30Domain pack. we use raid 5 not raid 10, and our vps nodes have 10gb ram not 8. And we run dual dual core opterons. managed + control panel.. looking around 80ish month.

lmao... I should pull up my tickets to just show you how ridiculously slow and dim witted their support staff is. When the server I'm on goes down or somebody is running resource intensive scripts I report it to them asap, I get a response back 15 minutes later them saying "we have monitoring software, everything appears fine". Then about five minutes after that when the problem has gotten to a point of the server crashing/sites not loading I update the ticket and I get a response back going "yes we have now detected a problem and disabled the offending scripts" or some other ridiculous bullshit.

I'm amazed that I find their problems 15 to 20 minutes before them and they constantly feed me the same bullshit over and over. I'm lucky to get a straight answer out any of those outsourced mother fuckers.

OH LOL... this one time my apache logs were fucked up on their server so I tried to disable them, couldn't do it so I asked them to disable them period. Instead they kept deleting them and they kept filling up over and over and over and over. Finally after about the eight time of them getting massive and lagging down my vps they finally go "we have fixed the problem by disabling them for good".

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST! IF they had did that the FIRST time I asked it wouldn't have been an issue the other eight fucking times.

Gillespie 10-28-2006 09:40 AM

LOL

I never had issues like these. I'd probably leave if stuff like that happened. Normally I send a ticket saying something like "My server is slow" and they take care of whatever was hoggin' the resources within 5 minutes.

I almost never have a problem with their servers, they are tight and I really like the uptime, I never have an issue for the most part. It's just when I do it takes AGES to get sorted because of that shit lol. When miranda went up and sploded a while back they left all the members of miranda clueless for over a hour before posting a bulletin in their forums, and their 'estimate' of how long it would take to get it back was off by like 8 hours gah! Oh well... I still think the quality of their servers/bw is worth having to deal with such shitty support staff. God damn it I'm going to taco bell, all this talk about low quality staff made me think of them for some reason.

Were those 5 IP's supposed to be on the same Class C?

If possible, no.

They don't, but they've got some great prices on dedicated servers and as notabook already suggested, a cheap dedicated will probably outperform most VPS solutions.

I have my reasons, but this is not really a requirement. I just copied and pasted the offer I found.

I kind of had a feeling. :)

If you want a VPS, with 5 IP's on 5 different C's, contact me and I will see what we can do. 30 GB is a lot for a virtual or VPS plan.

I'll contact you in a while though. I'm in a battle with PHP right now, and it ain't looking pretty.

Your required specs look like you copy and pasted a bunch of offers together.

You want a dedicated server with RAID for $50?

I just manually edited the memory.

Anyway, can I see further specs of your offer?

I'm sorry I don't have dedicated servers for $50. I have virtual accounts starting at $10 up to $70. Take a look at those and see if anything strikes your interest: http://phatservers.com/hosting_plans/virtual/index.html
