Its a cookie. You don't ever use cookies?

squishypimp 10-27-2006 12:02 AM

sig spot on this one.

Jace 10-27-2006 12:03 AM

damn, that is fucked up, i can't believe they have them listed as spyware because of a cookie

Damian_Maxcash 10-27-2006 12:04 AM

I'm not even sure I get that - doesn't that make all 'cookies' spyware?

I think he is just repasting that info to show us how fucked up those spyware sites can be sometimes

I've seen people "list" people as spyware/privacy invasion/etc. all the time for cookies. And the average user becomes totally paranoid of it and turns off cookies making everyone's lives harder.

Could very well be. Would be best if he posted why he's posting it. :)

edit: the reason I assumed the other is becuase he's been on an anti-spyware crusade as of late. I've thought he's been doing a good thing with it. I think the zango thing is an absolute mess and applaud him for taking such a stand on it. But it lead me to believe he's pushing this as another "problem" since he didn't specify otherwise. If I made a wrong assumption I appologize.

The question is not why did you say what you said the question is why did you post what you posted?

Did you post it to say sexsearch is doing something wrong or to say that the spyware site is doing something wrong? Or neither? :)

Again, I agree with your stand against the adware mess infesting the internet these days. Just wondering if you're saying this is part of it?

Perhaps its no different than a normal cookie but rather "buy my removal software" spin?

ummmm.. yeah... you should probably not post shit like that as it just makes you look like a fool and thus dilutes the effectiveness of the message.

Just leaving the 'masses' to draw their own conclusions?

WiredGuy 10-27-2006 12:25 AM

This seems more like a scare tactic by this Enigma Software Group to scare people that tracking personal information is spyware and trying to push their "Spyware removal software". You can do the exact same for Amazon, Google, MSN, AOL, etc...

I think it is one of those things that everyone needs to read and decide for themselves ;)

why you are not capable of reading comprehension?

God forbid someone read something and have to draw their own conclusions without someone else trying to tell them what to think. You really are sheep.

If i wrote the shit I would explain it to everyone, I did not write that. Perhaps I am not 100% sure what it means myself. Maybe someone here can read it and tell me. It talks about having to delete registry keys and ad/remove programs to get rid of it. I did not know that a cookie was that hard to delete?

Well if it is not true that would be mighty stupid of them to open themselves up to a slander lawsuit for accusing a cookie to be spyware.

This is the exact reason why i did not make comments .

You have proven yourself to be a very intelligent person by your posts here now you are claiming to take that one step further and be a mind reader.

(quick how many fingers am i holding up)

I have never lied about anything, what i said is the 100% the truth, but you are welcome to twist it into what ever you want it to be to suit your agenda.

You don't have to be a mind reader to see the obvious.....

Or are you being forced?

It wasn't a 'stupid' post at all. He copy/pasted information posted on another website. Did he have to post an op-ed next to it so you can mentally digest it?

You obviously don't get the point..... but don't stress yourself over it :thumbsup
