To this end, they work every legal angle and cheat like crazy. However, they love money so much they are equal opportunity bastards: they cheat the white artists every chance they get, too. It just may be that white people are more in tune with the business world than the blacks are by having a head start, so they can get cheated less.

However, anyone who expects a for-profit business to be run like a charity is naive in the extreme.

The sad part is Sony blew $25M on MJ's "Invincible." If something is really good, you don't need too much money to promote it--it will be promoted by word of mouth. So after a HUGE push of $25M it still tanked, it kinda makes you wonder about the quality of the product to begin with.

I think Michael's career really took a nose dive over those child molestation "allegations" - and just never recovered from that. He could turn out another good music project like "Off The Wall" and he still wouldn't sell alot of copies - simply because no one wants to support someone that they "think" is a child molester.

And about Tommy Mottola being a racist, the man was married to Mariah Carey (who was light, bright and ALMOST white), so I doubt that he's really a racist.
