Just woke up and my computer is fucked some blue microsoft error mesaage ... I hate windows

reinstalled bios
removed and tested ram on other comps.....
removed cdrom and an hour of other checking of crap, so far nothing, going to go and buy a new hardrive in an hour, stuck for now on my other comp :BangBang: owe well,

backup is the key to saving precious content

I got flash disks from bios website, I have an msi k7t pro and rewrote the bios, You should check your motherboard company, they may have updates for your bios, although I would not recomend updating if everything works fine

Im not worried about loosing a lot of stuff just two nights of work, so its not fun but livable.

It could be the Klez virus, wich was activated yesterday. It randomly overwrites files and shit.

Damn, that sucks foe. On a lighter note, hardware prices are gettin' very very cheap lately! Not sure about in the states, but a friend of mine here in Australia just picked up an 80 gig HDD for the price you'd pay for a 20 a year ago.

Its not the hd its my fucking mobo, the thing doesnt even boot up half the time to load dos from a floopy. If this is a virus holy shit its good because this is the first time in YEARS I dont know whats wrong with a computer, I think my mobo is gone :(

Did you try connecting the D-Bracket?
It should give you a good idea of what's wrong if there is a problem with boot-up or the monther board.

Try booting it up with very little RAM, no harddrive, no cd-rom, bios "safe-mode" etc.
Did you overclock the CPU?

what kind of beep is it foe? continuous? or 2 short, 1 long? or?

what kind of bios? phx, ami? award?

you can tell a lot by the beep code....

check your fans, If one jammed then your pc would shut down, if the fan is still jammed it wont boot it'll just beep

klez, is a cocksucker of a virus, I just this morning finished reformating my drive , and WHAM 15 of the fuckers in my pc,

I had checked my email once since the clean reboot

Its not that simple .... I wish it was, I fixed comps before for a while and built a bunch of servers, Its just mobo is fried I think and im in denial since I dont want to reinstall mobo... Owe well just going to get a new one...
