Buddy has white socks . . . well, they were until he found the bag of charcoal, then, not so much.

I decided tonight would be a good time for his first bath. I have a big tub, and he is a little puppy, how hard could it be?

Well, he got his snacks after the bath and hair dryer . . . don't think they would have gone so good in the tub with him all lathered up

You give them a snack during their time of worst stress and they'll associate the bath with something good.

Giving the snack after the bath reinforces the finish and he will want to get done as fast as possible !

Well, this is his first water experience . . . we have been very busy since I got home so haven't had a chance to take him to the beach yet.

damn my moo moo she isnt hot on baths , so its me fighting with a 57lb dog thats mostly muscle. Not fun. Im going to try next time and maybe they have them too where you live ,its self dog washes . So you can strap them in and dont have to get on your knees. If it works it will be worth the 10 dollars.

I would send him out to get him bathed next time :-)

Put on some shorts and try getting in the bath with him for the first few times. It helps to ease their fears if you are in there with them.
