OK - Found my first 'piss off' with FF2

They have put that close button on the tabs - I keep hitting it when I go to move to a tab and closing it....

I'm going to have to find a fix for that.....

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/158/

download that, then goto tools > options > tab browsing > display options >
check disable close button on inactive tabs

then select "on the tab strip" in the drop down for display close tab buttons

beemk 10-25-2006 11:00 PM

yeah i liked the X for the tabs when there was 1 way over to the right

Bro Media - BANNED FOR LIFE 10-25-2006 11:06 PM

no problem

Damian_Maxcash 10-25-2006 11:08 PM

It must piss developers off - they spend all that time creating new stuff for us and then when we get it we spend the next few days trying to make it look like the old version. :)

emthree 10-25-2006 11:28 PM

Nice fix.

woj 10-25-2006 11:59 PM

takes a few days to get used to, but once you do, you realize the x next to each tab is better....

gooddomains 10-26-2006 01:02 AM

does it run stable ?

Splum 10-26-2006 01:18 AM

They are trying to copy Mac browsers, fucking hippies.

PussyTeenies 10-26-2006 01:21 AM

i hate it that the alt+s on forums has been removed now in FF2 and goes to HISTORY in the top menu

rodney25 10-26-2006 07:55 AM

This is obviously a better version.

Tools > Options > Advanced > Check My Spelling As I Type.

Better fix with no extra downloads:

Goto about:config in a tab. Search for "browser.tabs.closeButtons" and set the value to "3"

Bingo!

Miguel T 10-26-2006 06:22 PM

Im pretty happy with it...
