Let's petition ccbill to fix their affiliate interface

It's broken. Really badly.

Firstly, if you try to search transactions over a period of more than about 45-60 days, it bombs out after a couple of minutes with a server error. You have to keep retrying, each time reducing the period, and waiting another 3-4 minutes for it to die:

Secondly, once you get useable output it's in 3 sections:

Because the "show clicks" screens are linked via javascript you cannot do "open in new window..." to keep your base (working!) screen open. If you need to return to that, it's considered a form submit and you have to wait AGAIN for the stats monster to gather its things.... and potentially bomb.

So if you need to view sponsors in all 3 sections over a decent sales period you'll be spending a minimum of 6-8 minutes just waiting for the base screen to refetch and return the results.

There have been other recent "improvements" such as only calculating the ratio on accounts that had sales by default... totally bizarre. If one account has 50 clicks and one sale, the other has 10,000 clicks and no sales, your average ratio is reported as 1:50! Just about everything else on the planet would include the 0:10000 stat and consider the total to be 1:10050

C'mon ccbill, this has been broken for literally ages... at least a year... PLEASE when are you gonna fix it? Please!! :Oh crap

- Signed :winkwink:

There was a post recently talking about the CCBill affiliate interface being redone.

yep the affiliate interface is soooooooo '90 :disgust

I could live with the interface if their backend wasn't so slow. It's ridiculous having to wait minutes each time and wonder if I'm going to see stats or a server error.

The system itself is cool with me, but the timeout errors are really disturbing. Its almost impossible to make some serious analyze from long-period stats.

Must be a query thing, but that can be improved..?

i agree with you :)

Bingo. That's what prompted this thread. I've been trying to find sponsors with shitty conversion ratios to remove from my gallery pool, but it's difficult to make a firm decision when I can only successfully view the last couple of months worth of clicks/sales.

The only option at the moment seems to be to manually capture the clicks and sales data, then add it up myself... but with 100+ accounts it's going to take a long time.

Cool, just read through that all... the one-ID-fits-all thing will be really cool.

I just hope the backend is upgraded as well, there is no point having a pretty new interface with additional features if it's still as slow as shit. :(
