Are you an internet addict?
 

So I saw a show about internet addicts and it made me wonder if Im an internet addict since I work so many hours a day on it. But I guess calling a webmaster an internet addict is like calling a convinience store owner a convience store addict since he is there all the time.

Still.. since I work online so much I actually feel good when I get away from it for a while and I never really surf anymore just for fun. I either work or look something up that I need.

What about you? are you addicted?

I think so.. I'm ok if I'm not at home.. but the second I get home I'm on the net checking traffic stats and sales.

Yes, I have been an addict for 2 years now. For me it's not an addiction in a negative sense, it's a way of life. I'm perfectly happy sitting in my chair 15 hours a day staring at the screen. This lifestyle might be a problem to someone who has an offline job/friends/kids/school, but suits me just fine.

I don't need anything else in my life, meeting friends have always been nothing but a chore for me, kids I want but not quite yet, and I can finish my college online if I ever want to continue my studies.

I do get intensely anxious when something happens to my computer/internet connection. That's the only downside in any addiction, I guess, when you can't get any!

I would say I'm more addicted to GFY more than anything..

yes I am, even when I went on a two weeks vacation to the Dominican Republic I had to visit the local internet cafe. Hard to relax 100% :(

spend too much time on it, the wife hates it, but I make money at it.

nope, because i can leave the net for hours on end and not feel like immissing something

yes I am addicted but I think I also formed that addiction by working on it for so many years and visiting websites daily (to the point of routine), checking email every morning, checking messengers for offline messages...shit like that has became a habit of sorts.

My bond with the internet goes far beyond addict. Me and the internet are one.

Net addict definitely... i cant live with my PC without an internet...

my laptop is more like part of me seeing as it is on my lap most of the day..ohh and wireless, what did we do before you...

I don't have computer at home, so sad.. and I'm not a computer/net addict.. well not much..

I also do the same thing..

I used to be but these days it is more that I am a workaholic and this is where I work. When I am not working (which isn't much time) I don't spend a huge amount of time just surfing or chatting these days.

It's not addiction anymore. It's simply adapting myself on an internet dominated lifetsyle.
