How does it calculate ins and outs? How are the stats? Are they like a standard traffic trading script ones? How much traffic can the script handle? If there are 100 member sites with 10K hits each that's a 1000K hits per day, can the script handle that on a good server?

If it can do all that, its probably worth $1000 per site license. For freehosts etc.

I dont know about selling the site, shouldnt you just be selling the script? I'm sure you can ger some freehosts interested.

One problem - what will the referring domain on the target site be seen as - your site or the sender's site? If its your site then the trade will return the hits to your site instead of the TGP's site!! I'm not sure how it works, so..

Or does it allow trading between sites using this script only? In that case it would work out too, $1000 seems like a reasonable price per site license, or maybe you could charge according to the number of members a freehost has.

Ok.
It tracks incomming hits with javascript so the referrer would not be my website but rather the webmaster's website. The same with out clicks, all out clicks would be seen as if they come from the webmaster's website.
As for traffic load... I don't know yet. I've don't have that much traffic but am confident that it can handle allot of traffic.

I like the site license idea :thumbsup , maybe I can run it along with what I am offering at the moment.

You should license it, not sell it. If you are a salesman you will probably make great money on it. If you aren't good at sales, then maybe you need a partner or someone who has connections and who is good at selling and working out deals.

I would suggest let a freehost try it out for free for starters and give you feedback with their traffic and member acceptance.

Yeah maybe a site license would work. I'd hate to loose copyright for $1000

If you were a bad ass, with lots of money, you could even patent your idea then sue everyone when they try to copy your idea 6 months from now. :)

No just give a couple of freehosts the use of the script free maybe for a couple of months, and after that maybe $1000 for lifetime license for that domain. You definitely need feedback with a script like this, and a freehost will be able to give you that. A lot of webmasters using the freehost will also come to know of your script this way. To get noticed in the beggining you have to do stuff like this. When the script is tight sell it at $1000 a site license and if it catches on increase the price ;)

Why not? You need to test your script before you can put it on the market and he's even offering to compensate you for it. You win, he wins.

Me and that guy(freehost) spoke about a week ago but he's never online. Are there any other freehosts I can try... without spamming them.

There are a number of free host owners on this board. Do some searching in the archives here on GFY. I don't think you will be accused of spam if you are hitting up a couple of fellow GFY member to do some business. If you start making bulk mailings to GFY members, get ready to get flamed. :)

That sounds like a great deal for starters. If you can find that chappie, go ahead and do it. Of course your script wont get anywhere close to 500K, cos only a few members will sign up, as most freehosts are used for TGP gallery postings, not for running TGPs.

I think you should email some freehosts one by one with your offer, one a day. And if you get blamed for spam, just refer them to this thread and let them know that it was these stupid webmasters' fault ;)

That would not work. Then you need to come up with a new idea. I did this 2 years ago so it is not a new idea. And belive there is another service (xxxmanager or something) that is also doing that already. But then again . Someone just got a patent for popunders so you never know :1orglaugh
