Celeb RSS and Javascript Feeds from MrSkinCash.com...

RSS and JavaScript Feeds launched by MrSkinCash.com

MrSkinCash has launched RSS and Javascript feeds for MrSkin.com, they include:

MrSkin's Top Actresses (daily updates) (SEE EXAMPLE)
MrSkin's Babe of The Day (daily updates) (SEE EXAMPLE)
MrSkin's Skinternational Babe of the Day (daily updates) (SEE EXAMPLE)
MrSkin's Birthday Girls (daily updates) (SEE EXAMPLE)
MrSkin's Top 10 List (weekly updates) (SEE EXAMPLE)
MrSkin's Celebrity Pic and Clip Updates (daily updates) (SEE EXAMPLE)

If you would like to see an example of all the feeds on one page, check them out here:

I used the Javascript feeds in my examples because I am just not smart enough to use the RSS feeds yet. I am working on it. Some of our affiliates have used them already (guys smarter than me) and they are working quite nicely.

Get yours today...

amny chance of getting an image larger than 45x50?

surfers need a magnifying glass to see that shit

another suggestion

You all have the titles of the posts in the RSS set to be the affiliate link, but anyone working with rss uses your title and makes it their permalink, example: http://celebs.adailyfix.com/2006/10/25/mathilda-may/

Is there any way you all can add a link to the bottom of each post in the rss feeds that says something like "See her full Review, Pics and Clips!!! "

you all already do that in the skinternational feed, not sure why the others don't do it also

the skinternational feed looks great, aside from the mini-thumb, if you could make the other feeds more like it, that would be great for everyone

also, how about a feed that includes a image of an actress, with a nice bio of her and a link that says "see more"....

for instance, check what another celeb sponsor does - http://celebs.adailyfix.com/2006/10/...arlize-theron/ - if you all could do a feed as nice as that, that would ROCK, because I would much rather use your feeds ;)

jeez, sorry, my mind is working overtime

one more thing....how about including some of the past posts in the rss feed? why just one single post?

Following up with what Jace mentioned... you could add a variable as part of the url that controls the # of items to include inside the feed. You'd probably need to change the .html files to php ones to do this, but its more than worth it.

Also, another good point by jace, make every single link inside the RSS affiliate-friendly. RSS is a method of data transfer--affiliates may use these in different ways (ie: syndication script. plugin, etc.) and you must be ready to credit them for their efforts.

And kudos on the feeds! :)

We are going to allow the use larger headshots in our next update to the feeds. We have a plan to allow you to choose what the Javascript outputs, but that is the next phase.

well, I have no use for the javascript, so this will be for the rss too, right?

uhhhhh.... Long post... How to respond...

Uhhhh.. in both the skinternational and regular Babe of the Day Feeds we have the "See Her full Review...." line. The problem with the other feeds is there are 10 items usually and they all have multiple links to the Actress already and there isn't a lot of room if we want them to be compact. We will take a look and see what we can do though.

Making out title the permalink is a new one for me. I haven't seen anyone do that, but that is because a lot of people are using these in their right hand columns instead of filling their content of their site with them.

As for the example from JuicyBucks, I like it. We may do something similar in the next round.

Great feedback. You da man.

Yes, of course. Anything we do to one we add to the other as well.

Yep, as I mentioned up above, we are going to be doing another phase where you can choose how many entries and such for the javascript.

We are trying to make all the links affiliate friendly of course, if you have specific example shoot them to me in email at derek (at) mrskin.com.

Thanks for the feedback.

Jace 10-25-2006 04:42 PM

thanks derek, I look forward to these evolving into great feeds :) you all have the best celeb content out there, it is only natural that you shoudl have the best feeds to go with them :)
