Who makes Dell's monitors?

I was in the Dell store here in Dallas today (as far as I know, it's the only one in the US where you can walk out with the stuff). Anyways, I was talking to the sales guy there asking who makes their monitors these days. He told me Dell has ALWAYS made their own monitors, but we all know that's not true. Dell MAY assemble them, but they don't make the parts. Example... I know that most of my 24" monitor was made my Samsung. My old Dell CRT monitor was a Sony Trinitron.

Anyone know where I can get some stuff to print for this guy and educate him?

I heard it was Sony but not sure myself

not worth 'educating him' imho.. he was just repeating the sales jargon that he was taught

Go to dell.com >> support >> manuals >> displays >> select model >> select language >> under appendix select Regulatory Notices >> scroll down to FCC Declaration of Conformity and it will list the manufacturer

Most of their current lcd monitors use either Samsung or LG.Philips panels, don't know which electronics they use to drive the panel, but it certainly isn't theirs. So at the end of the day they only really make the frame and the stand.
