Domain blacklisted??
 

just registered a domain through enom reseller and when i checked whois it says:

IP Address: 69.25.142.7
IP Location: - Washington - Bellevue - Enom
Blacklist Status: Currently Listed

WTF?!... i check that IP in SORBS db - http://www.de.sorbs.net/ and get

Netblock: 69.25.142.0/24 (69.25.142.0-69.25.142.255)
Additional Information: 69.25.142.3/29 listed because eNom continues to banksliebye.com

"You have been included in a wider listing policy because your provider
is happy to host spammer(s) that have spammed a SORBS spamtrap or admin."

how the heck do i get it unblocked?

You start by talking about a domain and then mention an IP being blacklisted... which is it?

not sure.. because whois shows:
"Blacklist Status: Currently Listed"

what does that mean? the domain or ip? what's your guess? i believe it's ip... so how does that affect me?

they replied:
"If you are part of a wider netblock that is blocked you are not required
to pay the SORBS 'fine' as the entry was not generated because of your
actions, however your netblock will not be removed until your upstream
removes the spammers.
They will then need to contact SORBS themselves to inform us of these
changes, there is nothing you can do yourself to have this listing
changed or removed from SORBS."

so basically the only way to get unblocked is for enom to contact them and pay the fine? LOL.. ya.. that'll happen!

yeah, looks like you should change hosts. Get a different class C IP at the very least, but maybe even that won't change it unless you change hosts.
