Message Board Bots Winning in Contest Threads
 

This happens in nearly every contest thread involving any sort of cash. People with bots that get the correct post # any time they want, effortlessly.

Shouldn't something be done about this? If not, i'm gonna get a script myself, and start making some dough as soon as i reach 60 days and can enter everything.

Yeah that bot thing sucks big time. But bots are only used by moneybeggers so i dont give a shit at all. You really need that $100 for a post? Sure its free and everyone would take it, but who gives a fuck if some [insert third world country here] kid wins the contest with his bot?

could you please explain how such a bot would work? It would have to check the site every second, and because of load times it would actually not be able to post the correct #. Posting bots exist in the sense that they can post automatically but to program them to be able to win contests seems hard, and if they actually succeed then they kind of deserve something for the hard work...

Bullshit, there is a bot out there that gets the right post number, ive seen it

usually in contest threads bots are competing with other bots and with a few webmasters and a few surfers

I could of swore I saw a thread 3 months back where Captain Thunder Thighs banned 4 members because of using bots in contests

Those contest threads are simply pathetic and i wish they would be banned.

When you refresh the page in a browser or whatever, its slow, it has to load the page and all the graphics etc. All the bot needs to know is what the post # is at which is going to take no time at all, down to the second.

There ARE bots in contest threads. They refresh the pages every second and snipe required posts.

This could be the reason why the board is running so fucking slow.
