Limbaugh accuses Michael J Fox of faking Parkinson's disease
The fat drug addicted lard ass knows no limits.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15408508/ Possibly worse than making fun of someone's disability is saying that it's imaginary. That is not to mock someone's body, but to challenge a person's guts, integrity, sanity. To Rush Limbaugh on Monday, Michael J. Fox looked like a faker. The actor, who suffers from Parkinson's disease, has done a series of political ads supporting candidates who favor stem cell research, including Maryland Democrat Ben Cardin, who is running against Republican Michael Steele for the Senate seat being vacated by Paul Sarbanes. "He is exaggerating the effects of the disease," Limbaugh told listeners. "He's moving all around and shaking and it's purely an act. . . . This is really shameless of Michael J. Fox. Either he didn't take his medication or he's acting." Limbaugh, whose syndicated radio program has a weekly audience of about 10 million, was reacting to Fox's appearance in another one of the spots, for Missouri Democrat Claire McCaskill, running against Republican Sen. James M. Talent. But the Cardin ad is similar. It is hard to watch, unless, for some reason, you don't believe it. As he speaks, Fox's restless torso weaves and writhes in a private dance. His head bobs from side to side, almost leaving the video frame. "This is the only time I've ever seen Michael J. Fox portray any of the symptoms of the disease he has," Limbaugh said. "He can barely control himself." 'A shameless statement' Later Monday, still on the air, Limbaugh would apologize, but reaction to his statements from Parkinson's experts and Fox's supporters was swift and angry. "It's a shameless statement," John Rogers said yesterday. Rogers, Fox's political adviser, who also serves on the board of the Parkinson's Action Network, added: "It's insulting. It's appallingly sad, at best." "Anyone who knows the disease well would regard his movement as classic severe Parkinson's disease," said Elaine Richman, a neuroscientist in Baltimore who co-wrote "Parkinson's Disease and the Family." "Any other interpretation is misinformed." Fox was campaigning yesterday for Tammy Duckworth, a congressional candidate, outside Chicago, when he alluded to Limbaugh's remarks. "It's ironic, given some of the things that have been said in the last couple of days, that my pills are working really well right now," he said, according to a report on the CBS2 Web site. After his apology, Limbaugh shifted his ground and renewed his attack on Fox. "Now people are telling me they have seen Michael J. Fox in interviews and he does appear the same way in the interviews as he does in this commercial," Limbaugh said, according to a transcript on his Web site. "All right then, I stand corrected. . . . So I will bigly, hugely admit that I was wrong, and I will apologize to Michael J. Fox, if I am wrong in characterizing his behavior on this commercial as an act." Then Limbaugh pivoted to a different critique: "Michael J. Fox is allowing his illness to be exploited and in the process is shilling for a Democratic politician." |
What a piece of shit asshole :disgust
|
WoW ... That's Very ruff.
|
Just because of the stem cell issue. What an asshole Limbaugh is.
|
He's an ass.
|
He said Michael J Fox isnt taking his medications or is exaggerating his movements to garner more sympathy for the ad.
Watch and listen to his sound clip about it https://youtube.com/watch?v=14pGY1P97L8 Fact is when you start getting into politics to play on peoples emotions you are fair game for any critisism. |
Apparently Michael J. Fox wrote in his book, that when he went before government subcommittees he didn't take his medicine to show them the affects of the disease. Did he do that during the commercial?

Making fun of someone gimpish or not is not really the issue. It may be offensive to some, err ok most non gimpish people at least. Though it really is fair game. If the human vibrator, err Michael can not take a little jabbing oh well he has some issues and should stay out of the public eye.
Rush though crossed the line by making accusations though and that is a different game all together. Does not matter if Michael took his meds or not so that the full effects could be seen. Michael is just showing the truth of his illness and showing the worst side gets the best results and understanding. Now if Rush wants to go after someone or something about hamming it up. He should take a look at assorted other political commercials. I am fairly certain a few are meant to scare the living crap out of me for no other reason that just possible fear, while others are built purely on junk science and agendas. |
He went off his meds to show people Parkinson's up close and not masked by drugs? The nerve of him!
:disgust Limbaugh is just mad because he doesnt have the courage to go on camera and show people what whore mongering and being a pain pill addict really looks like. |

how many people think that actors should stay out of politics, I mean they are paid to act, so how can you tell they're telling the truth?

Nothing funnier than watching the GFY libs get their panties in a wad . . . well maybe the Air America bankruptcy was a bit funnier.
|
Purposely not taking your meds so people can see the effects of a disease is not even in the same ballpark as faking. I see nothing wrong with this, if it's the case. Who would say, "I'm going to show people the effects of my disease so that maybe they'll come around on stem cell research. Oh, better take my meds so I don't shake so much!"
As for the other issues... if the guy voted against stem cell research, then... wow. Maybe he should research the candidates he's supporting better. Then again, a lot of times politicians vote against particular bills because their opponents stuff them with unrelated shit and pork. |
What an ashhole...

At least actors know to appease the people. |
