Im confused someone please help.

Is a red ribbon for AIDS or is it for Drug Free?
I am certain pink is for breast cancer, at least I think, and yellow is for families with active troops right?

Explain the colors to me if you can. My brain hurts and I just saw an add for red ribbon week.

I wear a multi-colored ribbon. Everyone knows what that means.

Sailor.

At the munchkin's school, Red Ribbon Week is drug awareness stuff.

drt2 10-24-2006 04:12 PM

Yes

Red is for AIDS awareness

Light Blue - Cancer Research

Pale Pink - Breast Cancer

Yellow - Troops

Think I got them all right :)

It may be, I don't know. I googled the other to make sure my mind wasn't totally gone, and to my relief I have at least a few remaining brain cells. :winkwink: Best as I can remember, it stood for the same thing when the manchild was in elementary school too, and he's 19.

Red Ribbon Week

Redribbon

Maybe its about aids drug awareness?

Or is it drugs are bad?
I do see your link goes to the DEA, whom do not want needle exchange programs, which by not having them is spreading AIDS like crazy in this country. Conspiracy maybe?

Fresh 10-24-2006 04:25 PM

the mix up is due to the new (red) tag products coming out. Its for aids awareness and a certain amount of the proceeds go to aids charity.

Heres the link: http://www.joinred.com/home.asp

I thought so too, but then I just saw commercial again and it is for drug awareness week, curtesy of the DEA.
Same people that brought us DARE and other crap that encouraged kids to rat out their parents.

lol i was in the DARE program in grade school! funny stuff. But im still not sure about the red thing. I think the red ribbon could be for the drug stuff and the (red) thing they got going is for aids. either way, its still confusing.

After shock media makes money with lickers, and the product is not toxic green... We test for that stuff.
