Are they for real? going door to door trying to convert people?

Wouldn't it make more sense to travel to africa, find some tribe of spear chucking savages with bones through their noses and try to convert them instead?

If I recall according to their gospel, there is only a limited amount of space in heaven or whatever. So why they are recruiting is sort of confusing to me. Maybe it is some damned if you do, damned if your dont loop hole or whatever, though if I knew there was limited seating I am fairly certain I would not be telling others about the event.

When I was at ASU, I remember religious fucks coming on campus and handing out their literature.

i had one come by yesterday...didn't know it was one but i said i was busy and the woman handed me a flyer...soon as i closed the door i saw that the flyer said "the end of false religion is near"...lol

It is a requirement of j-deps to do the door to door thing. If you have a new or newer group in your area, you might get a few more through the door in the next little while.

My advice? Invite them in. Then attack their religeon without end, belittle them, ask them what happened in 1976, ask them about all the times that their watchtower has been wrong, how often they have made false prophecies, and how they can tolerate being in a religeon where the leaders are just making it up as they go along, lying at every turn....

They will leave very, very quickly. :)

your going to get alot more calls. They are on a huge push right now again saying the end is near (not new for them) But they belive again like the 70's the time has come.

FYI the link poster earlier from Raw Alex (not his post) is full of a alot of BS and what they say JW's belive is very diffrent then what is taught actually taught he has his sources messed up.

They believe the earth will be cleansed, and those that don't go to heavan will live on earth in a perfect paradise for 1000 years. After that time the devil will again be released from his prison for a final reckoning, and thereafter peace and perfection will be restored on earth, death will be wiped out and they will live here forever. Nice fairy tale.

Just tell them not to call again and to make a note to that effect. Unless they make a mistake, they won't call again for 6+ months. But they will call again since people move etc.

I don't know if things have changed in the last 20 years, but it was believed that armagedon would come before a specific generation all died off. At the time, it was beleived that that generation was one alive or born around WW1 I think. Given not many people live to 100, they would believe it's any day now. But I haven't kept up so no idea anymore.
