I would've said the same if I was you.

Competition on younger market (which adult market is) drives to outsoursing/product optimisation, and there are always "local" companies which lose money because of it. You just can't stop the market trend.

As for me - I rather offer the product at lower price and expand my business than wait for someone to cover the "budget" niche. I bet you'd do the same.

I think you exagerrate the "russian" affect on the market. Those providers who shoot cheap content will hardly grow big enough to distract the market.

As for the content we do provide - it's not cheap, it's just me selling it at that price. Marketing move. Once I can afford selling it at higher price - do you think I'll hesitate?

To keep it short - selling exclusive is fast money, while non-ex is a long/mid-term investment. It's like forex exchange and strategical stock investment.

I've been working on non-exclusive market for about 2 years, so I know what you mean.

In fact I agree with your aspects, and I respect your marketing experience, but there are things that make me move this way at the moment.

He said $400 for 15 minutes scenes so I'd assume he'd produce more than 1 scene out of a couple in a day's shoot say about 5 scenes so that'd make him $2000/day so he'd be able to pay the models a bit more than $50 and some cookies. Now suppose the worst he only gets 1 order for a couple so he hires the model for 1 shoot plus personal pleasure so it's still worth for him to paying more than $50 and some cookies :winkwink:

look - i don't know how it works in other parts of the world, but over here models get paid by scenes. and i pay way more in model fees for the guy and the girl for a scene than he charges for it to his customers. and "personal pleasures" are nothing i can take into consideration when running a business. :2 cents:

After a try at non exclusive you never built up a turn over to carry you over the 2-3 months before you show a better profit than $500 on a scene.

Is this because your work never built up a solid base of clients ready to buy it on release or because non exclusive is not the great seller the supporters of "Exclusive" would have us believe, or a combination of both?

I just bought a package of Adult Czech Content new hardcore releases and added some more content to my basket at Photorama, will pick it up soon. The truth is to all my members it will be exclusive content, bought for a fraction of what yours cheap exclusive costs.

No the harsh truth is your content does not sell well enough to get higher prices. The market has a way of dictating prices. While you sell exclusive for peanuts some sell it for a lot more and some sell non exclusive and make more money.

I dare not tell you what we have made from this multi girl scene to date. But trust me it was a bit more than $500.

Well if your content was good you would of built up a list of clients prepared to pay more. Or we would be buying, along with other content providers, and reselling it as non exclusive.

You see we have the cash flow and can afford to buy from you. Just not sure if I will sell a hardcore set and video 8 times at $80.

Now if you are confident it is so good, shoot me a hardcore scene and if I think it will sell that many times I will but it. This is without magazines and DVD sales.

not really, i dont operate any websites..and i am not sure i want to post the sites i shoot for..i just recently joined gfy and it appears that most of the content jobs here are up for grabs, but mainly it looks to be non-exclusive stuff..i found that better ways of getting business is to market your content direcly to the webmasters, possible link or attach some of your work.
