when I was in England looong time ago I noticed many items priced that way, the less you buy the cheaper they are f.e. buying packet of 10 chocolate bars will get you better price per bar than buying a packet of 20.

I've noticed that a few times now in Asda. Some stuff they bring down in price but forget to remove the offer when it was cheaper to buy 2 or whatever.

You get that with cereal boxes all the time. The large box with 700 grams is more than 2 times the cost of two small boxes which total 800+ grams.

I'm a cheap prick and always pay attention to what I buy, and unless there is a substantial discount I don't buy in bulk.
