Is this a search engine BOT? Why searching with numbers?
I'm looking at the searches done by my search script on two websites and I see searches like "27" or "60" or "148"?
Which make no sense to me. Why not search for "blowjob"? Is this a bot of a webcrawler or something or is this some secret code to find illegal porn? Or what? |
Post the whole request from your logs - not your search script.
Chances are, it is a bot looking for vulnerabilities. |
What's the crawler identify itself as? Most of the 'legit' ones identify themselves in the User Agent.

I know I do a lot of number based searches, 5 is my most used search term.
Reason: when I want a new window to open a favorite or something else I will mouse my google tool bar search box and hit the number 5 and enter. I then do what I want in that window. 5 is just convenient in my number pad. |

Just numbers isn't a problem I think...I see people looking for: /MSOffice/cltreq.asp, /cgi-bin/post.cgi, /Photoshop/, /messageboard/addpost_newpoll.php , /phpBB/viewtopic.php, /store/catalog/admin/file_manager.php and shit like this !
