Are cartoons for kids only?
 

So are cartoons for kids, what about a guys with no family that are ages 25-35? My girlfriend gets upset becuase I watch cartoons (Family Guy and Venture Bros) saying I'm too old for cartoons. I never thought anybody would say that especially since those are made for adults and the Simpsons have been running for years.

Cartoons like family guy rocks..

Only have to look at cartoons like Family Guy, Drawn Together, The Boondocks, Aquateen Hunger Force and Bromwell High to see that there's a lot of cartoons out there made specifically for adults.

You're right about South Park but I don't know about The Simpsons... I used to love them as a kid. Naturally I didn't pick up all the sexual and political remarks back then, but that didn't bother me at all. I thought it was the best cartoon in the world, and I still do. It's one of the very few shows both kids and adults enjoy as much.

Uhhhh...Family guy is an adult cartoon.. I don't let my kids watch it and I wouldn't until they are quite a bit older. And how would she then explain South Park? That is most CERTAINLY not a kids cartoon.

Hell no, some cartoons shouldn't even be viewed by kids.

I was in Italy this summer visiting family and I was a bit surprised that my 31 year old cousin would watch Family Guy with her 8 year old daughter. The show was all translated in Italian so they understood it. When I mentioned that it's a more adult oriented cartoon that most 8 years in the states prolly don't watch she looked at me like I was crazy and just said "my daughter is pretty smart and advanced for her age so it's no big deal." But she did make it clear that she's watches the show WITH her daughter though.

Kinda interesting the different views about sex the U.S & Europe has.

fuck no! aside from family guy and the simpsons, i'll still catch myself watching bugs bunny or tom & jerry on the cartoon network if it's late at night and there's nothing else on. i grew up on that stuff, it's nice that it's still on. there should be more stuff like that on tv for kids today.

Hentai is Japanese Erotic cartoons ... what I posted isn't hentai. Our work is cartoon. It's just our style... not anime, or whatever :D
