When you make Real Money in Adult..

What make someone stay in adult when you
make $20K+ a month or more??

If you can rake it in ... why not start something
offline or turn to mainstream?

Personally, if I had sites who made me that kind of
money I had not stayed here very long.

Hey! not bad. So will you sell your sites and empire and start posting on GFY more when you reached that level??

:)

squishypimp 10-22-2006 04:37 PM

if i had that success i would stay, why would you stop something that is such a success?

Lykos 10-22-2006 04:44 PM

Don't know what will happen when i get there:)

lambpie 10-22-2006 04:46 PM

i'd do a bit of both, keep the adult sites running for security whilst developing mainstream ventures..

That's what most people do. Notice most of the programs that have been around for awhile the owners have employees that run them, not the owners themselves - they are into playing with all the money they've made :)

Then you have those that TRIED that, failed in mainstream and are trying again back in porn.

aico 10-22-2006 04:50 PM

If you were successful why would you stop??? That doesn't make sense. If you believe what you are doing is wrong you shouldn't be doing it in the first place.

It's tough, especially if you have kids. If your kid's friend's parents or a teacher find out what you do for a living when you're in porn, it opens the door for a lot of scrutiny. Mostly I see the principles in big companies hand off to employees and do more mainstream stuff themselves when they start families.

like it or not but it is generally harder to make money mainstream, because of the social stigma surrounding porn we get a premium for being involved in this business...

if you're just an affiliate there is no reason anyone should know unless you tell them.

but re: the initial question, why would someone give up that kind of money? sure its a good idea to start an offline business (though many of those fail, just because someone succeeds doing something online doesn't mean they will offline) or go mainstream but for someone to just give up that kind of money is crazy.

once debt is paid all online money going into real estate.

V_RocKs 10-22-2006 08:57 PM

So you are saying I should just piss away $240,000 a year in income just because I can do other things too?

When you start making that kind of money you learn how to deligate and be a manager. You learn how to hire others to run that for you.

There are a lot of millionairs in the industry who went into mainstream and kept their foot in adult because it is simple guaranteed income... so why not do both?

V_RocKs 10-22-2006 08:58 PM

Another thing.. Most people who attain that goal do so because they have some ability and because sex sells itself...

When they try to break into mainstream they find out that many companies don't want sex selling their products so they find it hard to compete against others who already know how to sell without sex being the prime motivator.

Interesting view, I can see that point I guess. I don't have kids, so that scenario didn't occur to me. I guess, I should say, Why would I quit? lol

Rochard 10-22-2006 09:00 PM

Mainstream doesn't have any naked chicks. What's the point of that?
