          Doubt that is the core issue s2kord - prob more to do with an agenda, which may not have much to do with the US as a country.

                  How about all the corrupt and arogant politians and the incredible tax system they have implemented on everyone? The arogance of forcing our democratic values on other countries? The IRS? They answer to no one! The criminal justice system has been fucked for decades. Paroling killers, rapists and child molesters from prison? Placing convicted felons and misdemenors on probation, time after time after time!

                  This is my second post of this type of subject tonight and my blood pressure is rising. Sorry.

                      I don't believe any of that. The majority of americans are smart vs the rest of the world. I would say alot are materlistic but I would also say most people would give you the shirt of their back if you did not have one and was cold.

I know alot of people would like to beleave you can but that's just not Fact. People learn differently you could say that the other country studied before they took the test and took the test more serious. No matter the views on the reasoning of the war, nor does it matter now both American and Iraqi lives are being lost. We removed Saddam for better or worse. We set up a Government for better or worse. We have given the Iraqi's freedom if they want it, they just happen to also want a civil war. That is their own war and issue, it is not ours.

                                                                                          Not sure how it would make us look, only the future could say. I do however think that the longer we stay the more worldwide hate that grows towards us. That does not make me feel to safe.

If others took the test more seriously and studied, umm wouldn't it of been smarter for us to have our students study as well? I mean we do like to compete and all, notice how we still go crazy with the Olympics.

                                                                                              Now if more kids in even piss poor countries can place Montana on a map correctly more often than kids in the US, that is a problem. Hell a huge chunk of adults also believe in angels, and doubt evolution.
