I've never tried it but always wanted to... looks like something you would have to just spread a very thin layer over a piece of toast, not like jelly at all. If you put every much on the toast it would probably make you gag.

That's what I've got left after throwing out the expired stuff. I still don't know what the hell I'l do with it - I might eat one or two slices every three months, and often less than that.

The trick to eating it is the scrape method. You use a very thin line and scrape it on the toast.. then you scrape that shit off and eat your toast. :thumbsup

I read something a while ago saying that 90% of Australians overseas wanted vegemite when they felt sick.

Vegemite is an aquired taste. You need a very small scraping on toast and you are in heaven. Gotta love savoury spreads :)

Folate (or Folic Acid) is an additive in alot of foods because of it's value in stopping certain birth defects (I think). It's in bread and cereals in many western countries. Not sure why they would ban it for that.
