The only place I know of where you can legally do it is Nevada (because of Las Vegas). Do people have a problem with it. Should it stay illegal - should it be allowed?

Only my :2 cents: - yes, it should be allowed, why not? But.. with restrictions that the girls involved are not being pimped/abused. Otherwise it's entirely up to the participants if they want to have a career as a hooker - it's their life.

I currently reside in Reno. Some people still pick up gutter trash hookers who aren't tested and are likely diseased 4,000 times over because they get off on it.

PS.. Will add... Where I am there is some law which means the girls have to undergo a medical at regular intervals and they are issued with a "clean card" to ply their trade, else they can be arrested for an offense.

The police have no interest in harassing the girls - they stay away, but will do periodic checks to ensure they have the clean health card.

It's impossible to wipe out prostitution - so sounds like a more sensible approach.

I live in Las vegas. Prostitution is not legal here, although it is everywhere. It is legal in many counties throughout Nevada but it has nothing to do with Vegas. It's been legal in this state since the late 1800's, so has gambling.
They actually are trying everything they can to discourage the "Entertainment" services out here.
They can no longer advertise using the word ESCORT, nor use X, XX, or, XXX, anywhere in the city, or the yellow pages, newpapers, or any other print.
There's always been hookers here, everyone knows it, and there will always be hookers here. You'd be amazed how many "regular" girls come out here and play hooker on the weekends, and then go home, kiss thier husbands, and back to teaching 2nd grade on Mon.
Not to mention the amount of women that live here that have that mentality.

I actually had a girl tell me once that if I wanted to go out with her, I would have to reimburse her for taking off work for that night. I asked "why don't we just go out on your off day?", she replied, "I work 7 days a week".

We live with prostitution in some form everyday. How many of you have ever dated someone and wondered if she would be here if I wasn't making money.

Might as well be. Either way- women aren't going to quit charging for it, and men aren't going to quit paying for it.

It's truly a victimless "crime." As for any health concerns, legalizing it will encourage prostitutes to seek help in a more timely fashion. It should be legalized IMHO.

Yes it should be legal, but folks should to it in brothels rather than hooking up on the streets - so there's less chance of getting fucked around with a customer...and well the customers would know that the girls/guys they screw are clean and healthy.

There are a few in the places who do it in UK, though the police hate them, they let them stay because a) they know where the prostitutes are and b) if they shut them down they'd only move down the road.
