Having a hard time in Buy/Sell.
 

I'm really impatience with straight bull, and I'm tired of people telling me my domains are worth $8, like I'm stupid.
What's the key to getting someone to get real overthere.
Should I just forget about GFY and move on , or can someone give me an honest reply and stop playing me for a fool.
I watched this board for a while and I see what halfway decent domains [only] are going for, then I throw a good one out there with decent stats, and I get $20 offers.
Why is everyone throwing bull at me like domains in this industry are worh less than everyother industry.
I would love any advice.

There's more to a domain than keyword value.

Well, most domains are not worth much unless they have a brandible name or they have some type-in or other traffic. I saw the domains you are selling in the buy/sell area and, while I'm no expert on domains, unless they have some traffic, they are nothing special. There are a couple that are kind of catchy, but like I said, alone without traffic they really aren't so special that someone couldn't go and buy something just as catchy.

Also, poker domains may not be a hot thing right now. With the new law that bans online gambling in the US there are going to be fewer people promoting poker.

And what do you mean "was". Are...The sites ARE generating around a grand a year, and have been for a while.You can find stats, by typng the URL, /stats.

Just curious, by your standards of worth, what is sex.com worth, or say BigBootyHoes.com worth.

Well, again this is an arbitrary number. If a domain make $1000 per year the question is how? If the answer is that you have done nothing with the domain except put up some sponsor ads on it and you haven't promoted it then all the income is from type-in traffic, then yes the domain is worth more than $20. But if the income is from sites you have built on the domain that you are always working on, then really you are selling the sites not the domain. I could register www.sdjaiorasknfasifenfsaihasd.com and build enough sites on it to make $1000 a month, that doesn't mean the domain by itself is worth anything.

Of course, now that makes sense.
I'm not selling domains alone I'm selling the site, too. What good is an established domain without the establishment? Maybe I'm not making that clear. I am selling everthing that has to do with the domain, the site and all.

Given the equation of how you value a business. I am only asking 60-75% of one years present take, just to get them to move. How is that out of wack?

its the nature of sales , if you can't handle the prices ppl are offering then don't sell
the whole idea of sale is bargaining , you throw up a price , potential buyer throws up a price and you both settle it out till you come to an agreement

if you want to buy something you never tell the seller the true value of the object

:helpme If a site generated $500 last year, and is on schedule to do $500 this year, without any tune - up, "which a good webmaster would do" how is $300 an unfair price. For all practical purposes, any one on this board would cultivate that site to maximize it's potential. Right?
Basically I'm asking for below blue book and you guys are telling me I'm high.

Here is what I would say. You need to have some stats that show you are getting traffic to these sites and that they are making the money you say they are. Also linking the sites themselves would help too. Put together a package for people to see.

For example you can say something like: package A is the domain www.domain.com and all the sites on it (insert list of urls of sites on that domain) here is the PR of those sites (if there is any) then some screenshots of the traffic and revenue from those sites as well as how much time you put into the sites monthly and an asking price. People who are serious and would buy these sites can then see it all and make a decision.

As it is now you are just a guy posting some domains and saying that the sites on them make $500 a year for you with little or no work. The reason people are skeptics is because if I had a collection of sites that made me $500 a year with little or no work I wouldn't sell them because it is free ongoing income.

So what I'm saying is right now you are trying to sell a domain/sites with nothing more than your word. It's kind of like selling a car without letting people test drive it.

I have given out the links for the stats numerous times over the last 120 hours, and yes, this may sound hard to believe but,
WE DO NOT WANT THE SITES ANYMORE, WE NEED TO DIVEST OF ALL ADULT CONTENT for variuos reasons. When I signed in I asked , "where is the best forum to liquidate adult domains". 20 people said this one.
I have 21 adult domins and sites left, in a portfolio of thousands of domains, and web sites. and access to thousands more.

I have posted my email , my real phone number, offered what ever I can to get people the info they need.
All everybody seems to dwell on is, if they are making what you say they are, then why are you selling them?

Because I don't want them anymore.

I'm not asking anyone to just take my word for it,

I can give serious inquiries everything they ask for.
There are more people blasting than asking.

I'm not going to show financials to every guy that offers me $20, and I'm not putting documented income on a forum.
The stats are easy to find..(.URL/stats.) on purpose.

If you want to sell your shit, you need to put forth the effort and email financials to anyone interested. You need to sell the community on why your sites/domains need to meet a required minimum.

We arent mind readers and you dont seem to articulate very well therefore you are seeing 20 dollar offers.

I would love to email financials to people. Only a few have asked. I spend more time defending the stupid stats on the posts than anything. I like to get to the point and move on. Not spend the whole day listening to somebody tell me hits don't mean shit, right after asking me how many hits are you getting.

I believe in what I'm selling at the price I'm selling it at.
I even put my freakin phone number on it.

Cool. So the people that are serious are contacting you and you are giving them what they need. That's a good step.

As for the question of why everyone is so suspicious it really is pretty simple. The only posts I've seen from you are this one and the one with the poker/gaming domains in them. So If I'm interested in buying domains, but I haven't searched the board and seen any other posts of yours all I see is you saying, "I'm selling a domain that makes $500 a year with no work for $300." and that is it.

Something you have to realize is that this board moves fast. you can post something and two hours later it's three pages back. If I were you I would post the url's to your other threads where you talk more about the domains and what you are selling so people can see the other stuff you have posted. If all a person sees is this thread they may think you are guy who just spent $15 buying a domain and you're trying to turn around and sell it for $500.

sometimes when a person offers $20 its because they only have $30.. not because the domain isnt worth $300

Why different handles? Someone told me I should change my handle and not use what looks like my real name. Tue, Wed the board was running slow, wasn't letting me sign in so I reregistered. I put my previous handle as my sig. and put in my posts that I was changing.

No one has yet to make the argument of why I should sell them for less 80% less than they make anually. If someone can come up with that brilliant algorithm I may listen.
