GMAIL Backup options

I see alot of Webmasters and Sites now using GMAIL as their main email system.

This led me to think this would be a great place to ask this question as I am sure most of you have thought about it and maybe have taken action.

How are you guys backing up your GMAIL mail to your local hard-drive?

You can setup Outlook or Outlook express to get the email and leave a copy on the local server and this works fine....unless you have alot of GMAIL accounts like we do.

How are you backing up many GMAIL accounts to your local hard-drive?

Thank you and Great weekend to all...

I have my gmail forwarded to my outlook express and it is saved there - plus I can also reply and send mail through outlook using gmail as well. Great system and works in case I need to ever change my ISP

you could back up to email client (outlook, thunderbird) backup the profile and up it to your remote server , do it once a week or so

I use multiple Gmail accounts for different purposes, but I've never even thought about backing up their content.

It's a lot more likely that I have a problem and lose all data than Google misplacing or losing a single email.
