I thought Chris Rock's Mom was exagerating Until I saw the Cracker Barrel she went to was in South Carolina.

Been there! Went to school there!

It happened.

Several class action suits have been filed and won with over-welming documented evidence including testimony of employees, Audio and video recordings. One big suit involved Denny's.

Sorry folks who wanted this to be bullshit. The lady is just pointing out what has been a planned racist strategy in South Carolina establishments for 100 years.

Some doctors offices still have a "colored waiting room" and a "white waiting room".


The only jab I can actually take at Ms. Rock is that she probably knew this was going to happen and was already prepared to "do something" about it and didn't wait for a more "clearer case" to happen.

Cracker Barrel will lose again just as they have lost before because ultimately employees will admit that management told them to do fucked things.


One a side note: I worked in a electronics store and the manager told me to follow Armenians around the store and stay in their face because "they all steal and I would know which customers were Armenian by smelling because they stink". So I have been instructed to discriminate against people, so I know it happens. People who don't believe this happens a lot are living in a fantasy world.

The first tip off that they were going to be racist should have been the fact that it's called the "CRACKER" Barrel

this case is the biggest crock of shit i have ever heard. i am going to sue mcdonalds because i had to wait in line for 10 minutes while the black bitch was talking on her cell phone instead of taking my order.

She went into the restaurant and had to wait 30 mins to have her order taken.. big whoop , its happened to me and thousand of white people every day..

She needs to prove they didnt take her order because she was black, i dont see how she is going to prove that unless before she went in they already had ex-employees that told her she would be treated a certain way because she was black.. and even if she did , not only would it be a setup , even ex-employees cant "prove" someone did anything for a certain reason . i think the only way they will prove anythng is if there some sort of written training manual telling them to make black people wait, and thats doubtfull..

Theres nothing illegal about not serving someone because they look shifty or have stinky feet.

to top it off the whole idea is stupid to begin with .. its either 1 racist employee or its not and she is wrong. unless cracker barrel is physically MAKING its employees be racist ( and i highly doubt thats happening ) then its just isolated racist people..

You don't see me crying to Al Sharpton and making a big fucking deal about it. If she doesn't like that place, she shoulda just gone somewhere else. Well sometimes descrimination is a good thing and someimes it's a bad thing. It's a good thing if it's correct.

For example, it's not a good idea to rent a property in London to Nigerians because you're very likely to be scammed or have the place trashed. For the Nigerians who don't act like this then it is hard cheese, and they should lambast their fellow Nigerians who do scam.

Yep, she got bad service. I get bad service a lot myself.
But I do know the difference between bad service and racist service and re-telling the story can never show anyone the nuances that distiguish the two. You almost have to be there.

I think the reason she most likely complained is that there were other factors not even related to the server that didn't come to the table.

Maybe she got a few snears when she walked in or whatever and this set the tone.

kind of but this would be sort of strange . an $8 an hour employee at cracker barrell isnt going to be racist to a customer if he/she isnt a racist just because their boss tells them too. and if they were a racist , why would they want pissed off black people sitting in their restaurant all day , logic says you would want to get them served quick and out the door.. ( then again some racists arent very logical )

I seemed to get a lot of anger from whites after 9/11 as if everyone was the enemy of the "White man". I expericened shit that I hadn't seen since the 1960's.

I think there was a lot of misguided anger after 911 and hopefully it will go away soon. Some people seemed to think Bin-Laden was black and they went off on a ignorant trip for a while.

Also when Larry King asked her point blank "Do you think Cracker Barrel is racist?" she answered "Yes I do." without hesitation.

Frankly, I thought she it was 100% more credible until she did that interview.

She said other people came in after her who were already eating while she waited. She said her daughter who she was with didnt want to make a thing of it. She hadnt even told her son Chris about it as of 9pm EST last night. And here it is 5 months later and Al Sharpton was involved already.

Now listen, I know for a fact that racism against blacks, hispanics, asians, whites all is real. They all happen. But on the known merits of this case, I am going to go ahead and predict that while a judge or jury would not be able to be convinced by a preponderence of evidence, there will be a settlement offered by cracker barrel anyway.

To win a lawsuit she's going to have to show the "nuances" that made it racist service.

I also saw her on Larry King - she said that she went to the same Cracker Barrel almost every day for either lunch or breakfast - never had a problem, now because of an oversight during a shift change from the morning staff to the dinner staff during which her table was overlooked (as she said on Larry King "only one table was overlooked") she now claims that they are absolutely racist - it was embarrasing to watch.

No, I think it's a way to rally white people against you that don't have a fucking clue about what really happened and after you say racism they refuse to listen to any facts whatsoever.


This is why if I think someone did something racist towards me I never mention that they are racist. I simply destroy their fucking ass in other ways.

Most racist have difficulty with logic so one only needs to put them in a logical situation where they fuck themselves but not understanding what the logical response is.

Im curious to see if she has been involved in other civil suits......... Our civil court system is flawed to the point that now schools are banning sports, even dodgeball and the game of "Tag", some towns are taking away public playgrounds .. all this in the name of the new threat called LIABILITY.

I can recall seeing a post on a forum of people no longer inviting thier kids friends over to play for fear of that child being hurt on thier property and getting sued, only exception i seen one person is that the kid can come over so long as they have a parent with them.
