Where to Move

Hey,

Where's the best place to move? Things here in Dayton, Ohio are getting a bit boring. I'm just now making some decent cash, and am ready for a change. Seems as though a lot of you guys are from Cali or Florida; which parts?

Let Me Know,
Thanks,
Kevin

Ah, but expensive. Spain is just as nice (especially the weather) but cheaper. Would have to learn spanish I suppose...although that is nearly a requirement in either Cali or Fla too. :)

Hmm, Amsterdam...I would miss the forests and open green spaces. I suppose you could live in the suburbs and get the train in now and again.

I lived in about 8 or 9 places here in the States. From NYC, Miami, LA, Diego, Austin TX, L.A, and so on... The nicest places I think are Miami, and San Diego.

Yeah, that's what I'm hearing mostly: Miami and San Diego. I just had some business buddies move down to Miami; I'm thinking about joining them there.

What's so good about these locations? Bars, clubs, beaches, scenary, people, weather, all of the above, or what?

Sly_RJ 07-04-2002 11:02 AM

Another vote for San Diego. It can be pretty expensive, but if you're smart you'll find a way around it. My rent is $300 a month and I live in a pretty decent pad, great neighborhood.

I'm from the Mid-West too, so I'll give you a fair warning. People in Cali are very different... :winkwink:

Well, San Diego is ALL GREEN. And it rides all along the coast. The town seems quiet most of the time, but it's a jungle at night if you're a party freak.

That and I've never seen more blondes in my life. And that's what makes me tick!

I've been to LA (Hollywood -> Koreatown, and a few other places) and I definitely agree the people are tad bit "different' which I like.

3 bed, 2 bath, nice sized living room, dining area, small kitchen, pool. Three of us live here, one in each room.

At first I liked it too, but then things started to change... don't get me wrong, I love it here and love the people. But they're different in many ways... :winkwink:

Eastern Iowa, moved away last August. Going back to visit next month. Don't know why I picked August to go back, hottest month of the year...

Ace-Ace 07-05-2002 01:01 AM

Hmmmm....I suppose that's midwest enough. Yah, I'm looking at either Miami or San Diego...

Spain Rocks and it's fairly cheap....if I had to chose Miami or San
Diego then it would be San Diego hands down. Miami is nice but
too humide and mosquitos are killing you man....go for the dryer
and nicer Cali Climate dude!

don't move to seattle it sucks ; -) j/k

but spread that rumor - too many people live here - i want soem of the bitches to move away so i can have it to myself.

two best things about seattle - the food - and the outdoors (we have every climate you could want with in driving distance)

How hard is it to get a work permit or whatever the hell you need to live and own a business over there? Some countries are tough from what I've read.
