Nothing like walking into a bar hearing "Strangle Hold" by Ted Nugent blasting from the jukebox!

hmansfield 10-18-2006 07:21 PM

Only if it's disco,(1976-80 Chic, Grace Jones, Earth Wind & Fire) or some Curtis mayfield (Superfly), or Isaac Hayes(Shaft). Of course everyone digs "The Master of Love" Barry White. Most of these kids were probably concieved to it.
The young 'uns are to caught up in thier own orginality ( bull shit we did in the '80's ) to realize how much Hip-Hop is 70's remakes or samples.

there were exceptions :2 cents:

what about that 'Cherokee' song by the 'Raiders'?

Cher had some weird shit out too

charlie g 10-18-2006 07:28 PM

beetles, clapton, hendrix, stones, lynyrd skynyrd, allman brothers, led zepplin, motown. 70's was the best decade for music. Gay peopl also had disco and the village people... everyone was happy...just change the am station or put in your favorite 8 track, it was a gas baby!

baddog 10-18-2006 07:29 PM

beats the hell out of 80's music

BitAudioVideo 10-18-2006 07:31 PM

black sabbath

E$_manager 10-18-2006 07:37 PM

I have idea about 80s, but 70 is too far away for me :)

hmansfield 10-18-2006 08:32 PM

You don't know what you missed. Say what you want about the Villiage People, but chicks of all ages dig disco. It's great for a MILF w/ some bucks, or a college girl and some beer. It's universal baby. Lot of respect for the 80's music, brings back a lot of Miami coca stories.

SomeCreep 10-18-2006 08:32 PM

some rocks, some sucks

Re

Even some late 60'..Jimmy Hendrix is the KING !!!

OG LennyT 10-18-2006 09:50 PM

OK... I should have been more specific.

I'm talking about the shit they play on Sirius' 70s station... not classic Rock or disco from the era.

he-fox 10-18-2006 11:07 PM

I can't believe no one mentioned Queen, after all "Bohemian Rapsody" is one of the greatest song ever.
