Anyone know of virus software that doesn't bog down a slower computer?
I have tried norton and it used so much system resources that my machine eventually just would barely function
I am using mcafee right now and it is keeping the processor at peak usage 24/7, and it is an athlon mobile processor too, so it shouldn't be at peak usage 24/7 Is there any good cirus scan software suites that don't suck resources like a hooker giving a blowjob? |

fris, I tried kapersky a while back and got some pretty nasty shit on my computer while it was protected |
I use F-prot and don't have any problems.
http://www.f-prot.com/ Its currently only using 4 mb of RAM |
see, it isn't the issue of it using system resources constantly, but I am a fast worker and I am constantly multi-tasking
so, when an anti-virus is running and scanning everything I am doing it starts to slow shit down when it constantly has to scan browsers, email, etc all the time....I need something that doesn't bog a system down whlie it is constantly protecting it mcafee seemed to want to scan everything I was doing, and even when I said not to scan certain things it slowed my machine down because it scanned the "other" things I just need a new fucking laptop, this one is getting outdated |
I've heard AVG is the least user on resources of all of them.
