How long until google has a [report this link as sespam] up?

Or some other form of link....right on the main results page, where multiple users can click "irrelevant" or "search engine spam"....seems to me its the next logical step for them to block out blackhats :2 cents:

Especially now that they're moving into the community business...i.e. youtube

agreed, it would be abused too quickly.

are you serious?
their SERP's would be empty!

tapatio 10-17-2006 02:24 PM

That would mean they admit their algo is not perfect.
Stockholders would not be happy and all those made for adsense sites would get flagged and adsense earnings would drop

Some things will never change.

it wouldnt be that crazy. I mean if youve got one million reports of spam for a particular page chances are its a piece of spam. They could ignore everything else and just weed out the ones with a crazy amount of reports

whats to stop a bot from hitting that link from 10000 proxies?

dissipate 10-17-2006 02:50 PM

it'll never happen, it would fundamentally alter their algo and would be abused.

Furious_Female 10-17-2006 02:54 PM
