JB - Stats Remote.. Anyone know where he lives? Got his #?
 

Does anyone connected with JB have his home address? It would be nice to see someone check him out and make sure he is OK... This is really odd.. To have an overwhelming percentage of the market share in stats checking and make a monthly income from it but let it just completely go without any word?

Did he have a drug problem and go to rehab?

People who have paid by ePassporte have had their licenses renewed (I believe they do that manually still) so someone is doing something there. I think their last update was mid-September (he's been missing since beginning of September). Would be nice to know if he's OK, but it seems more and more like he's just cashing in on residuals.

I think most of us are looking because we wonder too :)

I hit up another webmaster who knows him pretty well form online. So far no repsonse back to his query.

I don't think that's likely. Almost no people would renew if they new there weren't going to be updates. It would be much smarter if he would sell it in that case.

what would his interest be in giving up on SR
it must be making very nice money
and updating should not be that costly
he has no reason to dump the project

I think we would all agree with this but the facts are that he has abandoned it. That he is renewing accounts is even worse. Why login just to grab cash and not respond to anyone else?

They need to update now its getting beyond a joke i've got half the damn program with redlights now. And we're paying for this.

Good news, he is back, an update has been issued and he will refund your last months payment if you weren't able to see the stats you needed to see.

Like what? All your passwords and configs are stored locally. The only thing it phones home for is to check that your subscription is still active.

He must make a shitload of cash, with 2000 webmasters subscribing he'd be grossing $600k+ per annum. The market pays because there's nothing comparable. I bet it's nowhere near a full time job. Good deal for him. :)
