Watched a drama on HBO over the weekend where the idea was that Jesus came back to earth during the Spanish Inquisition. The Chief Inquisitor had him burned at the stake.

The night before he spent a long time telling him why he has to do this. So Jesus does not undo all the work they have done in his name with his church.

Very powerful drama and Derek Jacobi was awesome as the Chief Inquisitor.

Religion is about power, control and profit.

At least they didn't rub salt in his wounds.
