Can LSD cure Alcholism?

Some people actually think so! I think they are using some old facts when the story states that "even Alcoholics Anonymous endorses the LSD research"
because one of the 12 Principals of AA is that it neither endorses nor opposes any causes and also AA avoids public controversy. However, taking one prescribed hit of LSD seems a hell of a lot easier than all that time I spent at in-patient treatment back in 1999!
Yes, I am continuously sober since February 22, 1999.:thumbsup

I used to drink while tripping.. there goes your theory..

E$_manager 10-16-2006 08:52 PM

I know some people that drink a lot of alcohol to stop taking heroin.

uno 10-16-2006 09:29 PM

It's possible. There are a lot about these chemicals that they aren't even allowed to explore because of our archaic drug laws.

StickyGreen 10-16-2006 09:33 PM

i should have had my mom try that... :(

madawgz 10-17-2006 05:21 AM

hmmm, thats new to me...

Cyndalie 10-17-2006 05:38 AM

Congrats Chad. That's a hard step, a long time, and a huge accomplishment.

Jarmusch 10-17-2006 05:40 AM

It must be better than living in denial.

CaptainHowdy 10-17-2006 06:45 AM

johnny o 10-17-2006 07:32 AM

drjones 10-17-2006 07:32 AM

They already use Ibugaine (i think thats how its spelled) to treat heroin addiction.. its like LSD's big brother in a lot of ways.

marketsmart 10-17-2006 07:33 AM

never heard about that before...

mike217 10-17-2006 07:39 AM

Haven't heard that, but I bet you get a much better experience out of LSD than Alcohol. Is that a smurf over there? LOL

revolte 10-17-2006 07:41 AM

JayDeeZee 10-17-2006 07:50 AM

Apparantly one hit of LSD is the cure..

Would really hate to be an alcoholic... drink is everywhere

MarkMan 10-17-2006 07:58 AM

lol
is gun bullet the cure for knife stab wounds?

no LSD is not a cure for Alcholism

reynold 10-17-2006 08:35 PM

A strong will to stop cures it. :pimp

TSGlider 10-17-2006 08:58 PM

Has anyone had LSD in the last 5 years? Read someplace that a major U.S. sting operation around the turn of the millenium shut down a couple of independent labs, which resulted in the drop in street availability of acid by about 90%.

squishypimp 10-17-2006 09:09 PM

i dont know whats worse, and lsd addiction or alcholism...

pr0 10-17-2006 09:16 PM

there is no such thing as "lsd addiction"

its not something you could do everyday...even if you wanted

and it does take you outside your body & show you how you're fucking up

so it makes a valid point to cure all types of things....from violent behavior to addiction

r-c-e 10-17-2006 09:30 PM

Thats what LSD was used for way back when if I'm not mistaken. Seems to me it would work a treat too, could you imagine just as you're starting to peak someone standing over the top of you screaming "DRINKING IS BAD! YOU SHOULDN'T DRINK!"

I can't see how that would NOT work.

MaddCaz 10-17-2006 09:31 PM

alll love!!!!!

rodney25 10-17-2006 11:49 PM

I don't think so. It's like looking for another problem to solve another problem.

Didn't you ever see the John Wayne movie Hellfighters? They use Dynomite to put out oil fires.

Yes you can.

CheneyRumsfeld 10-18-2006 09:24 AM

these defectives should be culled from the herd and destroyed before it spreads.

BobG 10-18-2006 09:32 AM

LSD cures sanity.

Danny_C 10-18-2006 09:40 AM

LSD isn't a fix to a problem, it's an enhancement to higher thought processes. Using it to quit an addiction sounds like a bad trip to me.
