WOW! This can't be good for adult. CNN to Air 4 part porn special

http://xbiz.com/news_piece.php?id=17646

NEW YORK ? CNN Headline News personality Glenn Beck will air a four-part series on adult entertainment. ?Porn: America?s Addiction? is scheduled for Oct. 16-19 on the cable news channel.

In part one of the series, Beck examines the addictive aspects of adult entertainment, with an emphasis on Internet pornography.

?On Monday, Glenn profiles how a man and his wife dealt with his porn addiction,? CNN announced on its website.

In a preview of part one, Beck interviews Sex Recovery Institute Director Robert Weiss, who calls ?Internet porn the crack cocaine of sex addiction.?

Part two of the series focuses on the business aspects of the multibillion-dollar industry with an interview featuring AVN President Paul Fishbein. Part three looks at how adult entertainment drives technology.

Part four of the series focuses on a former female performer who left the adult business and now counsels others coping with the negative effects of pornography. The final segment also looks at how adult entertainment ?blurs sexual issues for teenagers,? according to a report on RealityTVWebsite.com.

?Glen Beck? airs daily at 7 p.m. (EST) and replays at 9 p.m. and 12 a.m. (EST).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wonder how twisted and slanted this will end up being?

"Oh the poor addicted internet porn addict. Lets make a show and make the online porn people look like pushers who show up at your house and knock on your door and make you buy porn."

maybe we should have a 4 part special on the 60% of the population thats addicted to sitting on their couch 24/7 shoving pounds and pounds of bon bons and potatoe chips into every orifice they can. coffee, coca cola, junk food, cocaine, alcohol, cigarettes, violence. any form of indulgence can become an addiction. the fact that they are taking this angle projects the perspective they want to drive home. shady shady shady. fox news shoulda handled this one.

should be interesting to see this though. they really should interview some other people though. i'm tired seeing paul fishbein on everything about adult.

go kb!!!!! LOL

Part 3 looks like the only worthwhile and factual part of the series. Everything else is left to perspective depending on how you feel about something or another.

JimmiDean 10-16-2006 11:21 AM

It wont be pretty

Juicy D. Links 10-16-2006 11:21 AM

After Shock Media 10-16-2006 11:25 AM

People should REALLY Google or wiki these experts. Know thy enemy, and by the way some are some real old enemies of our industry that are big bags of shit with no actual facts and that love to pull shit out of their ass.

They however do get press time since they are part of assorted family organizations. To bad the closest thing we have to any spokesmen in this industry is a lawyer or two.

Almost funny AIR :winkwink:

Decades ago it was thumped into me (had a short career in editing real documentaries and some propaganda bullshit) that you never have a "loaded title" unless this is intended as propaganda and not a real documentary. The title says it all - ?Porn: America?s Addiction? and the decision has already been made for the masses :)

Doubt CNN International will be showing this stuff - smells like more bullshit at a ripe time :winkwink:

BUT - Would be interesting to see a real summary of the porn industry - and not just in the US but globally.

Buhahahaha, I just wet myself.

Face it. We are predators that lure children into our wicked web akin to cigarette companies doing our best to make addicts out of them all. We degrade and take advantage of women with money and drugs as bait. We break up marriages. We ruin families. We squeeze every cent out of those we addict. We have no controls and need more laws to prevent us from spreading our evil claws into helpless households across the nation. We have an agenda to make porn the norm. We are responsible for CP. We serve no good and desire to destroy the fabric of this nation.

That is only true if you have a way to spin it or have your voice heard. This is America, such bad press means political attention.

I like how we'll surely be condemned for making money from selling porn, yet CNN has no problem making money from it in their own little way. I've seen that ad countless times this week. They know it as well as we do...porn sells.

Didnt you read what Webby said "you never have a 'loaded title'"... maybe something along the lines of "Sex Bad, Porn Evil" would suffise.

coolegg2 10-16-2006 02:52 PM

Glenn Beck? Oh yeah, he's that fat fucking moron who has dedicated his life to the dummying down of America. I've watched a bit of his show a couple of times and each time I had to switch the channel because, I swear, I could feel my capability for thoughtful reasoning being sucked from my body every minute I watched.

Don't expect any concepts above the grade 9 level to be discussed, which may or may not be good for online porn.

I wonder how much sales will increase after it airs? I'm sure Beck will explain how porn really works on the net and draw in the sceptics who were afraid to purchase porn before.

seeric 10-16-2006 03:25 PM

long live the porn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KB should be on CNN
Except they wouldn't tolerate his shameless plugs

This is on the other CNN channel headline news "HN"

coolegg2 10-16-2006 04:06 PM

This is a bit off topic, but here is my theory on how Glenn Beck and Nancy Grace got, and are able to keep, their jobs...

CNN is desperate to keep pace with Fox News, so they need news personalities who are very opinionated. But they don't want to be blatantly biased like Fox is - the one strength CNN has is it is reasonably "balanced" in the sense that it isn't too far one way or the other to the right or the left. These news personalities also need to appeal to the widest possible audience.

So the challenge facing executive producers at CNN is what kind of person fits that bill. The answer is the village idiot. Think about it... the village idiot is the only person in town who has strong opinions, but can't be labelled as consistantly biased to the right or left (because they are all over the place all the time), and their reasoning is so simple that everyone can understand it.

And voila Glenn Beck and Nancy Grace have careers.

kenny 10-16-2006 04:07 PM

This guy isn't talking about porn. He is talking nukes.

Is anybody watching the porn thing?

nico-t 10-16-2006 04:07 PM

i bet the part about the addiction shit doesnt show the views of both sides

SPACE GLIDER 10-16-2006 04:11 PM

Its on the Glenn Beck Show on CNN Headline News. The show is on now, but the porn thing hasnt been on yet, but it was mentioned that it was coming on later in the show. They are basically making everyone watch his whole show, and putting the porn thing at the end. He must have bad ratings or something :1orglaugh

Damian_Maxcash 10-16-2006 04:32 PM

90% of the viewers will be sexually repressed men hoping to get a flash of some obscured porn on cnn.

CNN knows it at well - have a look at the ads, they will be for aftershaves, powertools etc. - they know the demographic this will attract.

Martina Warren 10-16-2006 04:33 PM
