face it... if you work in this biz, the world thinks you are a scumbag. now one will openly support you because of that. instead of worrying about who is president as if that really matters and is going to stop prosecutions... why not worry about the real issue... the fact that you allow yourselves to be continually characterized as predators, thieves, scammers, exploiters of children, home wreckers and a destructive force in society.

no politician will you support an industry that allows itself to be hated, stigmatized and characterized as a general threat to humanity.

this business is its own worst enemy.

this is an industry where theft is not only accepted, it is a part of the business model and even necessary in many cases just to remain competitive. how many mainstream businesses can say the same?

i have always thought this business was doomed to self destruct. if for no other reason, because it primarily attracts destructive and self destructive personalities.

Funny, even CNN is trying to get its cut of the porn biz. How come they never talk about how many marriages porn saves? Think of how many husbands use porn as their outlet instead of cheating on the same wives that are complaining? Im sure these housewives would rather have their husband combing the streets for hookers or out REALLY cheating on them. How about how many couples sex lives have become stale and they use porn to rekindle their sex lives? How many more rapes would we have if there were no porn? Just some questions I ask myself after watching these jerks trying to make capital gain by bashing porn. I wonder how memberships to porn sites Glenn Beck has subscribed to in his life time. I wouldnt doubt that hes a fan of tranny sites.

i think you are backwards... you are asking "how come THEY never talk about..."

they have nothing to gain by something that is not sensationalistic and dramatic. this business however, loses everytime with these "reports". there are no ratings in talking about how great and wonderful things are.

the question should be "how come the porn industry never talks about it"

the online biz has cleaned itself up dramatically since it began online, yet one would reasonably think things have only gotten worse from listening to senate hearings, congressional hearings and rants of lawmakers and "documentaries"

thats a PR problem and not "everyone elses fault" - thats the fault of this business and everyone in it who sits back, quietly bitching that if Bush wasn't president, the business would be in a better position.

We need lobbyists or something, someone who will go on air and have the balls to tell these "experts" they are frauds and tell these former " sex addicts" they are liars and are just tryin to cover thier asses cause thier prudish wife/husband caught them looking at porn, and tell the "former model" they are just disgruntled and pissed cause they suck.

A lobby would be nice. However.. you would also need to set some indnustry standards which illiminates the low lying fruit who do anything and everything for beer money.

Also illiminate the shady bullshit like installers, and so forth.


Since GREED is the motivating factor in this business, you are never going to get the big companies to self regulate, and that leaves us repeatedly open to the scrupals of big brother.
