anybody else here less productive when you get more sleep?

When I get 5-7 hours of sleep I work pretty good, if I get 8+ hours I always feel like crap and get a little lazy the next day. How about you?

buddyjuf 10-15-2006 04:34 PM

same for me. 7-9 hours and Im good... 10+ and I feel like shit all day

marketsmart 10-15-2006 04:43 PM

i get around 9 hours sleep every day

Vin 10-15-2006 04:49 PM

Yeah I agree,

the more I sleep the shittier I get. The mor relaxing stuff I do, sauna, bath etc same thing. So from this week. I will only sleep for 7 hours a night.

Let's keep this thread allive to see difference :)

TheB 10-15-2006 04:51 PM

Same for me. 5-7 hours seems to do it about right, more than that and I get lethargic.

rodney25 10-15-2006 07:05 PM

The more hours of sleep I get, the more active I could be..

notabook 10-15-2006 07:14 PM

If I get more than 4 hours of sleep I'm almost like a zombie for the rest of the day. I work best with about 3 to 4 hours of sleep at maximum.

Barefootsies 10-15-2006 07:15 PM

Same here.

I have to get between 4-8 hours of solid sleep. Not that restless, up every few hours mess. Luckily I get good sleep most of the time. Especially with new treadmill. But if I get too little, or too much, I am pretty much worthless the next day unless I catch a midday nap.

:Oh crap

Violetta 10-15-2006 07:19 PM

I slept 13 hours last night... new record for me! But I feel like SHIT now! Just wanna go back to sleep! So yes, I guess around 7-8 is perfect

nAtuRaLbEautY 10-15-2006 08:06 PM

nope, I enjoy long hours of sleep...
I'm more productive

digifan 10-15-2006 08:11 PM

Sleep is good... recharging the batteries mmm :)

shekinah 10-15-2006 08:17 PM

I slept 6 hours last night and sad to say that my head aches the same as when I slept 10 hours. So better for me to do is to take vitamins so that no matter what time I sleep, still I'm going to be productive.

Vitasoy 10-15-2006 08:28 PM

If I sleep 10+ I get head aches. So yea of course that leads to less production

donross 10-15-2006 08:39 PM

atleast 6-8hrs a day works for me.. im less productive too much/less sleep.

reynold 10-15-2006 11:27 PM

At least 7 hours; that will be good enough for me. Ten hours will already give me a fucking headache.

martinsc 10-15-2006 11:31 PM

usually i sleep about 6 hours and that's the best for me... if i sleep more then 6 hours i feel like a zombie for the entire day...

for the last few months, i have had a horrid time falling asleep. i'll take whatever i can get! :)

i started taking ambien on certain nights and it has started to help a bit (didn't help at all in the beginning). if i take an ambien and get 7 to 8 hours of sleep i'm good to go the next morning! if i sleep naturally without an ambien, i can go either way. some days i can get 5 hours of sleep and be okay and some days i need like 10 hours to function. :) that randomness was also quite a nuisance.. glad the ambien has helped produce more constant results.

Vin 10-16-2006 02:00 AM

Just woke up. Had 8 hours of sleep.

Problem area for me is getting up. Because I don't really HAVE to get up it's more easy to stay in bed and be lazy. I'm dedicating this week to this experiment.

And will only sleep 7 hours at most. So whenever I go to sleep I just add 7 hours. No more, no less on my allarm clock

gooddomains 10-16-2006 02:02 AM

the more sleep the less I get done

nico-t 10-16-2006 07:04 AM

yep same here..... fucking annoying
