OMG LEAFS WIN in OT!!!
 

It's wonderful that the leafs beat Calgary 5-4 in overtime tonight, everyone needs to watch the sports highlights tonight or tomorrow because Mats Sundins goal was SCARY..

and I'll tell you why....

In 1988 the Calgary Flames were playing the Edmonton Oilers in the playoffs. The game was tied 4-4 and it was overtime. The Oilers were shorthanded.

Wayne Gretzky came flying down the left wing and fired a slapshot over the left glove of Mike Vernon - winning the game.. on a shorthanded goal - 5-4 for the oilers.

Watch the highlights of Sundins goal - Which was his 3rd of the night for a hat trick and the 500th of his career. It was also in overtime, against the Calgary Flames with the game tied 4-4. The Leafs were also shorthanded - and Sundin came flying down the left wing, fired a slapshop over the left glove of Mikka Kiprusoff to win the game.

Granted he is a little more to the left and the shot is from closer in - but the similarities are SCARY!!!!!!!!!!

Most of you will not care - but anyone who is a hockey fan (and especially a leafs fan) will find this really interesting :)

ya about 3 million of them in the GTA - and then tens of thousands dispersed throughout the globe. Anywhere you go in the WORLD you will find a leafs fan.

Conrats to Sundin...wow,hat trick to reach his 500th.. very nice..although i no longer support the leafs.They are a fucking joke,i have supported them since i was 8 years old and all they brought me was fucking tears.i get tired of watching highlights of them lifting the cup in black in white television,even the expansion teams have won cups .They do the same fucking shit evry year,do well out of the gate and then after the all star break they collapse.

All these fucking corporate ticket holders are the ones to blame since the place is sold out every game,so why should the team spend money on key players? Exactly...they dont need to.Its a business that does well without the high payroll.

Now with that salary cap the leafs spend as much as any other team. So you can't really blaim the corporate ticket holders anymore.

No my friend,thats one thing i will never do is bandwagon jumping.I watched the game tonight at a busy bar and i swear that when the leafs scored,i was the only one not cheering. :thumbsup

Well, of course, it's October! So natch, we see the best of the Leafs.

In May/June, we'll see the best of Detroit or New Jersey or Edmonton.

But, for sure, the Leafs rule the fall.

Actually, I've alway wondered: should I say the Leafs or the Leaves? Are they a grammatical as well as a hockey travesty?
