None that have accurate stats; Once NetSol completely fucked the skull of InterNic, I dropped 'em like a hot potato. Fuck 'em.

Think the 'oldest domain' registration I have in whois dates back to '98.

Xenophage 10-14-2006 11:19 AM

So When I say pimpin on the web since 1994 I mean it. hhaha I was so broke then I did not have 2 nickles to rub together Man this brings back memories, I was selling motherboards 486 dx-66 BABY on my rockign 14.4 modem

First domain name was December of 1996 and first newsgroup posts were in the 80s.

Lars, can I combine my old AFF accounts and consolidate under my old school pid? :)

Dirty Dane 10-14-2006 12:23 PM

not me, I was on the freehost wagon back then :)

Yes it is possible to do this, you will need to contact your affialite manager.

ThumbLord 10-14-2006 12:27 PM

lost most of the very old domains, 1999 one left

baddog 10-14-2006 12:30 PM

inthestars 10-14-2006 12:36 PM

Nothing older than '98.

Nice chatting with you on the bus at Internext, Lars. Remember? You, Hal, and me?

tranza 10-14-2006 12:52 PM

Ipp is a very hot domain!

Zuss 10-14-2006 12:53 PM

I wanted to use the internet in 1995 but my parents said, "no" because of all that porn on the net.

HairToStay 10-14-2006 02:49 PM

1995 and I still have the original invoice from Internic -- $100.

Fabien 10-14-2006 02:57 PM

This domain made me some bling bling back then and still does.

Also, i registered affloveszango.com but i figured it was a bad move so i didn't renew it hehehehehehehehehe
(no hard feelings Lars)

LiveDose 10-14-2006 03:00 PM

We have a bunch from 1997.

JimiJimi 10-14-2006 03:22 PM

I've been online since 1986; my partner had a scholarship to Reuters at the college dorms where we started flipping IPO's. I bought my first computer with Prodigy for 5k in 1987.
The first of over 10,000 Domain names was FlowerSales.com Creation date: 18 Jan 1997. I sold my first url BuyRoses.com Record created on 09-Apr-1999

“What a long strange trip it been” Grateful Dead

SilentKnight 10-14-2006 03:38 PM

'99 is our oldest domain (KastleArchives.com) - but we'd been postin' original content to Usenet since '95.

Within days of our launch date - we were already exceeding 2gb/day in bandwidth (just pics, no vids). Within a month or so our 'free hosting' notified us we were using too much bandwidth (muahahaha) and advised we look for alternatives.

We did.

And went pay format in the process :)

Chris 10-14-2006 03:40 PM

lars was wondering if you could transfer ipp.com to me

fuzebox 10-14-2006 05:51 PM

I've been online since ncsa Mosaic, we had Compuserve and the "internet" was basically anonymous ftp, usenet, and some archie repositories... I still have my "internet yellow pages" with "every internet site in the world" for nostalgia...

But then I didn't have any money or credit cards, so didn't register any domains until 2000...

Pete-KT 10-14-2006 05:56 PM

I have one from 1998 thats my oldest

chaze 10-14-2006 06:03 PM

Why are you guys afraid to post your domains. My oldest I can find is:

Domain Name: FULLYHOT.COM
Registrar: WILD WEST DOMAINS, INC.
Whois Server: whois.wildwestdomains.com
Referral URL: http://www.wildwestdomains.com
Name Server: NS1.DWHS.NET
Name Server: NS2.DWHS.NET
Name Server: NS3.DWHS.NET
Status: REGISTRAR-LOCK
Updated Date: 05-oct-2006
Creation Date: 14-nov-2000
Expiration Date: 14-nov-2006

Need to register that shit. I started in 98 but hell if I know what happened to those domains.

Quick Buck 10-14-2006 06:11 PM

the domains i regged in 98 were retarded... hindsight is 20/20. the domain's i've bought since then are 20x better.

Let me ask a different question: how much of your own affiliate traffic and traffic intended for other sponsors have you "borrowed" since you started this thread?

dynastoned 10-14-2006 09:27 PM

sicone 10-14-2006 09:29 PM

Yes that is true my cyberzine and ipp domains I got for free also.

but I was an idiot becasue they said you could only have 1 domain per address. I shoulda just made up fake addresses and registered everything.

I was going to get girls.com but thought cyberzine was sooo much better hahahahah

Brad Gosse 10-16-2006 08:55 AM

I had some older ones but I sold them off :)

Domain Name: YOURBRAIN.COM

Fizzgig 10-16-2006 09:04 AM

I don't have anything that old. I started out on Angelfire in 1999 and didn't register a domain until 2001.

I remember getting an invoice from internic to pay for mine several years later when they started charging.

I called because I thought it was a scam.
