side kick or hook? which do you prefer?
 

personally i prefer to get in a side kick in a fight.

much more power.

right punch followed by left then a side kick.

i train MMA 3 times weekly i know what im talking about.

p.s if anyone wants to fight me im happy to do so.

Sure you train. Body mechanics on this combo is about useless.

Where in Oz do you train?

punch them in the throat, they go down fast.

I find it near impossible to do a sidekick after a punch combo because Im too close in. I can do a blitz attack with a combination of punches followed by a roundhouse kick.

However I will add that Im still fairly new and probably not as experienced as you guys. Despite also training 3 times a week now, the difference between the guys that have been training for years and the guys like me is VERY noticeable, even if I am naturally stronger than them.

Considering I've been shocked by one and it put me down in about 2.4 seconds, I could care less how it looks, just how effective it is. As soon as you press the button it produces a huge torrent of juice, and the sound it produces is awful (sounds like a vulcan cannon going off). One of the best stun guns I've ever used. :thumbsup

As a plus, to recharge it you just plug it into a wall (no need to ever buy batteries for the damn thing).

You have to turn your whole hips away if a punch combo leaves you too close. Generate your power before you cross the line of your OWN body. Use it to create distance (go for the thigh or stomach to find something painful and distance-creating) if you need to maneuver, or for a doubling-over shot if you want to finish them with a dropped elbow to the back of the head.

It's almost like a corkscrew.

Its just more training for me, unfortunately my age, fitness and love of curry over the years has made me a lot less agile than I was, but Ive no doubt it will come back once I lose some weight. For a guy my size I still have quite good speed and a heck of a lot of power so its not all bad.
