LOST: Getting sick and tired of it

After much anticipation, LOST was another let down this Wednesday. More questions and still no answers. They are just dragging the viewers along. Well they do have great ratings so I guess they can do what ever they want.

Really do hope next week would be better. Or else.... well I guess there is no or else. Just like a bad habit, you keep going back to it :pimp :pimp :pimp

SCOOTER 10-13-2006 11:33 AM

Thats part of the fun .. just a little here and there...

I watched another show, and caught the webcast the next day.

Wasn't too impressed either.

Sly 10-13-2006 11:35 AM

Uh, what exactly do you expect? Thats how every episode is. The past 2 years of episodes only cover 2 months of time, its slow time lapse.

You have a very good point. We're only on day 69. They did stretch this one out.......................................

detoxed 10-13-2006 12:03 PM

you just found out the dude has lived in the island his whole ife, they have normal houses, etc. you get questions and answers simultaneously.

Adultnet 10-13-2006 12:04 PM

you can really understand how things are going on there and know nothing :) Lost has great episodes...

MaddCaz 10-13-2006 12:05 PM

zee....the show could only work for so damn long...

gooddomains 10-13-2006 12:06 PM

TV is pointless

Halcyon 10-13-2006 12:19 PM

Did you see this dharma training video? I think it explains the origins of full-life the island dwellers. Or DOES it!?

https://youtube.com/watch?v=_PPCCcXarkc

TG Rebecca 10-13-2006 12:24 PM

i've never seen the show but have always wanted to.. my old boss used to love it and always used to tell me what happened whenever he'd watch a new episode anyways. :)

thanks for reminding me to get the dvds!

ImLost 10-13-2006 12:38 PM

Yes I did see the video and it did give me some info. But then again they leave so much out....

I'm not saying the show is not good, just saying that they need to start answering more questions before adding more to ponder.

1. Who's that boy in the other cage.
2. What's up with the aquarium prison.
3. They never explained what the heck was that black cloudy smoky thing in the last season. It came, it left, and no one bothered to tell me what in the world that thing is.

Well the list can go on and on.....

If you have a question not answered from Lost. Post it here!:) :)

squishypimp 10-13-2006 12:45 PM

havent seen the latest lost, but i "lost" interest a long time ago :)

marketsmart 10-13-2006 12:46 PM

Which for me is part of the fun.

The Red Sox thing was fun because we had to download it to watch over here in the UK and I was the only one that got why the Red Sox bit was funny.

I guess the series is shaking the people that most liked the soap opera element rather than the mystery side.

1. He is the French chicks son.
2. To do tests on underwater creatures. (ive got no better theory here)
3. The black cloud turns into anything that you fear. That is why it did not turn into anything for Mr. Ecko :)
4. I think the polar bear appeared in season one because of wald, he was reading the comic and there was a polar bear and michael threw the comic in the fire so he got mad and the polar bear appeared.
5. Jin will start to speak english, the island will make him
6. Desman crashed the plane for sure!
7. Is John Lock dead?

1. French chicks son (probably) as mentioned above.
2. It's underground and underwater, and it's capable of shielding the island from Jack. They need this, and have him separate, because Jack is capable of mental manipulation with the island's power.
3. The island is capable of manifesting your thoughts. Hurley's numbers, Jack's dead dad, Walt's polar bear, Kate's horse. Mr. Eko figured it out when he looked into the smoke and saw his own fears. So did Locke. Doesn't work with everyone, but it helps if you're young and impressionable, hence the Others covet children. This is also why the Others choose to stay, and why they're obviously connected via high up with a powerful corp. or govt. agency. As the Others said last season, they bit off more than they could chew with Walt, the kid was probably too powerful for them to control.

My :2 cents:

Nice!!!

As far as the bear being 'manifested' by walt...
The Others mentioned in the season opener that "It took the bears 2 hours" to get a fish biscuit.

axelcat 10-13-2006 03:01 PM

They lost me after season 2

Sarah_Jayne 10-13-2006 03:04 PM

I think their continuity department is brilliant.

Mr. Romance 10-13-2006 03:20 PM

yeah

Mr. Romance

notabook 10-13-2006 03:26 PM

Season 01 was great, Season 02 was a let down, Season 03 so far has peaked my interest thus far so I'm still hoping it'll rock.

Thank you for reminding me. :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

That's why I really like that cable show "Weeds". Each episode is only a half-hour long, but they never "pad" the episde and let the plot drag.

HomeFry 10-13-2006 03:57 PM

Lock is a badass!

The S3 Premier was very slow, and didn't really cover much. But, they slowly uncover the answers to everything, as I'm sure by the last episode... all will be clear.

I'm still a little curious about those Lotto numbers / computer code->Press Enter/Crazy Guy numbers are all about.

HomeFry 10-13-2006 03:59 PM

Something to keep in mind... There is a massive electromagnetic field on that island. It can cause alot of weird things to happen. :)

Dood 10-13-2006 04:01 PM

why don't they follow up on the cliff hanger from the last episode from last year when the deafening noise was heard by the people who were looking for them?

chixyvero 10-13-2006 05:03 PM

oooooooooooooooo

rodney25 10-14-2006 07:17 AM

I don't like the current episodes either. Pretty boring..

Quagmire 10-14-2006 11:16 AM

What about the trap door from the first season that Locke was getting pulled in to and Jack saved him? I don't recall that ever being addressed either. Where did it lead to? What was its purpose?

reynold 10-14-2006 11:18 AM

I wasn't so impressed but I hope they'll have some good stuff to offer by the coming weeks.
