Buying Traffic, Thoughts?
 

As you can see in my sig, I run a TGP. I recently bought like 3k traffic thinking it'd be a good boom and maybe get some money, but my bounce ration (people who leave immediately) is so high that I didnt make a sale and got very few hits for my affiliates.

For a TGP, is buying traffic worthless? Or do you just have to buy sick amounts of it? What is everyones opinion on buying traffic.

You need a lot of traffic, you need bookmarkers and you need trades.

Can you define "steady traffic"? Obviously I dont want to spend too much money, but how much should I spend?

try 300K

3k is a very small amount I must say...

what you need to do is feed your tgp over 14 days or so while you are building trades. maybe 60% to galleries and 40% to content. I myself have better luck with going 50/50.

with 50/50 you should be able to build the tgp to an initial 20-50k/day and then you just have to try and keep it in that area when you take the feed away :)

You have to match the traffic you buy to the niche you're in. If you want BDSM traffic I am selling the best BDSM traffic from the #1 BDSM site.

3k is too little of an amount to gauge anything by. send 10x that amount and then see how your doing.

3k traffic isnt enough...

3K is nothing... gotta spend more than $10.

Buying traffic is only for trades. If the traffic for sale could convert, why sell it? This is the answer I get whenever I ask.

You need a steady influx of traffic over a period of time. Spend all that you can, and realize that there's a strong possibility that you will never recover the money (meaning, don't spend what you can't afford to lose).

I pay for traffic to this very day. Sometimes to feed trades. Sometimes because it converts on my sites.

Be sure you're ready for the long haul or don't risk it.

Are you buying traffic right now from a traffic broker, that converts on your sites? This is usually a threadkilling question, but I thought I might ask.

Yes, I am. See the two banners at the bottom of my site (in sig: "free porn"). The one without a ref code converts.

Edit: That broker converts on Spasmodium. I do use other brokers on other sites (TGPs, MGPs) that convert. So, nothing bad against the others. Just to be clear.

I think it's time you update that link. Sexzity no longer sell traffic....
