I'm sure some will disagree, however, why can't their be a government/industry organization/clearinghouse where registered adult producers/agencies/performers can submit their 2257 forms.

The public at large would not have access. Only persons registered, and who can prove that they are legitimate custodians of records, and the FBI group overseeing 2257 enforcement would have access.

This would make it unnecesary for small producers like myself to have to spend an extra $15k or more in annual expenses just to maintain an office, which is only rendered necessary because I don't wish to list my home address on my web site and movies.

It would be a demonstration of industry self-policing, and good faith on behalf of the legal adult industry, and the government could save a bundle as well, by only conducting inspections of suspected violaters, rather than numerous inspections of people complying with the spirit of the law, which is to provide proof of age for our performers.

An added benefit is that the government could more easily identify a fake ID, since I am unaware of any experts on counterfeit IDs in the adult industry.

Just a thought, anyone with other suggestions is welcome to respond.

EDIT: Good work by the adult industry attornies! :thumbsup

I wonder when these industry attornies and "industry leaders" are going to share some details about this meeting with the rest of us? Specifically:

Viewing increasingly popular sites like "porntube" with no adult verification before ALL content is accessible, where NO 2257 info is posted, where copyright violations are flaunted ... makes small pros spend their money and time look foolish.
