A man dressed all in black is walking down a country lane. Suddenly a large black car without any lights on comes round the corner and screeches to a halt.

How did the driver know there was a man in the road?

A true story, see if you could deliver : )

A letter arrives at the post office with only the following on it:

WOOD
MASS

There was no return address
None of the postal workers could figure it out and sent it to the dead letter area where other workers tried for 3 years to decifer it for delivery. In November of the 3rd year a new worker transferred into the dead letter office, decifered the address in an hour and the post office was finally able to successfully delivered the letter.

It took me 3 hours to figure out, how about you?
